I found my first magic key when I was still a child,
Everytime I lost it, it drove my mother wild.
She would have to look until we found it,
Because I was determined to find where the key fit.
I would tell my mother it would open a pirate's cove treasure chest,
Or maybe it would fit the door of a meridell castle best.
Everytime she found it she would tell me not to loose it again,
But by the next day, it was another search of the den.
I took the key everywhere with me,
From Terror Mountain to Meridell to the Maraquan Sea;
From the Space Station to Neopia Central to Krawk Island;
From the Lost Desert to Tyrannia to Mystery Island and Faerieland.
I asked everyone if they knew where it could go,
Everyone just laughed and told me no.
One day I dropped it in the Rainbow Pool,
Mother said there was no way to help and I had been a fool.
I cried all night and through the next day,
My friends wanted to talk, but I had nothing to say.
I had almost given up hope on getting back my key,
When a faerie came and said Fyora wanted to speak with me.
I followed the faerie up to Fyora's Hidden Tower,
But all that was there was a note and a flower:
"A key does not always have to open a chest or a door,
A key can be anything, and open so much more.
This simple flower is a key to beauty,
And your key unlocked your curiousity."
I picked up the note, a strange smile on my face,
Out of no where a large bizarre orange keyring took its place.
On the back of the keyring was another note,
I anxiously read what Fyora wrote:
"Everyone has a gift and is filled with something
Whether its to be a faithful petpet or a royal king.
You were blessed with the gift to explore,
So I give you your first keyring to hold the keys to any door.
Never forget what I told you about what keys can reveal;
Whether its buried treasure or an emotion you feel."
I thought about Fyora's words on the way home,
And I was determined to make her message known!
I decided the answer was a keyring gallery;
Something others could come in and see.
I tell my story while you look through my things,
So you'll always remember it when you see other keyrings.
