Gelerts: Forgotten or Ignored?

Some people have discovered, mainly the ~*~Guild of the Gelerts~*~, that the loving Gelert has been neglected in many ways. For instance, I asked two loving Gelert owners, sushichow and tailfeathers. They had some things on their mind they had to say.

sushichow: "Gelerts are ignored way too much, they deserve much, much better!"

tailfeathers: "Gelerts are not given the credit they deserve, they are overlooked and ignored."

I also interviewed a distressed Gelert, Nieii. "I have seen many Gelerts, but what do Shoyru's have that we don't? We have some items, but we don't have plushies like more than half of the Neopian population. We don't have a vending machine like the Aisha's! We are used to Korraling some Kaus, I don't think that's fair. In my point of view, even if I am a Gelert, Gelerts rule in all kinds of different ways!"

After those very distressing interviews, I decided to look around Neopia in search of items that represent the Gelert. I first started off in Tyrannia. I went over to the tribe council and went over to talk to Sabre-X.

Me: "Sabre-X, where is the Gelert on the council?"

Sabre-X: "Well, nowadays, Gelerts aren't very popular with most people...like, what games have Gelerts in it? Oh, yeah...there is Kau Korral, but come on, what kind of game is that?"

I, as the reporter was burning. I left immediately and went over to the Haunted Woods.

In the Haunted Woods, I looked at the spooky costumes. But not to my surprise, there wasn't a Gelert that could be painted with a Halloween Paintbrush. I went over to the Brain Tree to ask it a few questions, since it must have all the answers!

Me: "Brain Tree, why do you think Gelerts are so unpopular?"

Brain Tree: "Well, I don't really know, I should ask someone...thanks for the idea!"

In my head, I thought to myself, that wasn't very useful. So, still struggling for an answer, I went over to the Happy Valley and the Ice Caves.

As a merry little Bruce was passing by, I decided to stop him and ask him the question. "Excuse me, mister Bruce, may I ask you a question?" I asked him.

"Well, all right," he replied, uncertainly.

"Why are you, an almost new NeoPet, almost more popular than the friendly Gelert?"

"You call Gelerts friendly? Just yesterday, one chased me down the block for my Chia Pop!" Frightened, the little Bruce scurried away.

As I was giving up hope, and returning to my NeoHome, I saw the Uni from the pound. Quickly, I rushed over to her and asked her about the population of the Gelerts in the pound. "Well, nowadays, there are very few abandoned Gelerts...most of them are adopted by people from guilds who have adoption plans and loving owners."

In conclusion I have some other evidence that Gelerts are not only forgotten, but sometimes ignored. If you looked at the Rainbow Pool list of the colours the Gelerts come in, they don't come in very many. There are only chocolates that represent the Gelert. There are no plushies, morphing potions ,very few trading cards that talk about the Gelert and no books that talk about the Gelert's name and how they got it.

There are no key chains and T-shirts! The Chia has a lot of Chia pops, the Aisha has a vending machine and there is a Shoyru at the treasure hunt! So I ask, where are the Gelerts? So, I want everyone who is reading this to think about this question; are Gelerts forgotten or are they just ignored by the people of Neopia? Thank-you.
