Quote of the Week

The ice caves themselves had been a swirl of mist which coalesced into the form of sheer sheets of ice which cascaded its brilliance and sheen all across the surface of the many different portions of the cavern. Thousands of reflections of everything which had been within the caves patterned themselves at the surface of the frozen liquid, which showed many different variations of what had been inside of it.

The Fastest Way To Lose Your Money!

We all work hard here on Neopets, whether it is by spending day and night restocking or running out fingers raw playing flash game after flash game. It seems like almost everyone is on a quest to get rich, and to get rich quick, but what can you even do when you have it all? When you have a bank account full of millions upon millions, or you have invested those millions into rare items that are just growing in value by the day? Buying items is not a waste of money, specifically items that are never destroyed. For instance, buying most Battledome weapons can be seen as an investment, a way of making MORE money. You can just sell it later, possibly breaking even, or if you are lucky making even more. So how do you get rid of money, exactly? What? You are shocked about that? We live our Neo-lives tied to our Neopoints, slaving away to earn as many as we can and enjoying it along the way, but what is the point of having money if you never spend it!?

Top 10 Reasons to Adopt a Kacheek

With this article, I hope to show you all of the reasons why you should adopt one today for your account! These 7 reasons should convince you on why you should adopt one today, as Kacheeks are without a doubt one of the coolest pets in Neopia! 1. First off, they’re shy little critters! Having a Kacheek means understanding their personality, and they can often be quite scared during first encounters. It is recommended that you take your time when introducing them to their new Neohome, as it can all be very overwhelming! Patience is always key, but their personality will shine with proper care and time.

Opinion - Is Queen Fyora an effective ruler?

In the wake of the many issues that have impacted Faerieland, some in the kingdom have openly questioned whether Queen Fyora is an effective ruler anymore. While many still admire Queen Fyora's ability to rule with a gentle hand and her perseverance through all the difficulties, there are voices of doubt that have gotten much louder lately. Most Faerielanders and much of Neopia still stands by their beloved Faerie Queen, but there are competing perspectives on the future of Faerieland.

"A New Addition" by fantasy_star541
As a new day approaches, Fantasy and Gryffon Magesty (yes that's how she spelled her name) were doing their usual shopping in Neopia Central, the capitol city of Neopia, and getting books from the book store thanks to Trudy's Surprise Gift that day. It was a long day and they were exhausted when they got home and they had already played enough games to get the remainder of Neopoints they need. Gryffon was reading a book that she bought while Fantasy was counting how much Neopoints they have. After a short while, Gryffon was done with four books that they bought and all of them vanished in puffs of yellow, green, and purple smoke, and then she was thinking about something for a very long time. When it was time for her owner to travel, she turned to her owner and said the very thing that would have them thinking and doing things differently for a long time. "Fantasy," she began, "I've been thinking about this for a long time since we've been here and I was wondering…" she hesitated. Fantasy said, "Well, I've been wondering my whole life, so just spill it." Gryffon inhaled and said, "I was wondering if we could have a new addition to our new family?" Fantasy was interested, since her own Neopet just asked this on her own, and she was about to ask her the same thing. The only thing she could do was answer in reply, "Wow. Okay. Well, it takes a whole lot of responsibility to have a sibling around, especially since you're super intelligent, you'd have to share your books with him or her." "Exactly," Gryffon replied, "I think I am ready to take on that responsibility." Fantasy nodded as she was about to head out the door, "Okay. As long as you know. Now, when I get home, we'll go to one of two places: The Pound or the Neopet Creator." When Fantasy closed the door to leave, Gryffon got a list and wrote down the possible Neopet brother or sister she wanted.

"The Whispering Wail Sword:Part Two" by purplehopper
Someone had cornered Talzadon with a weapon. "Hey! I know you!" he said as he leapt away from the point of a spear. He raised his candle to illuminate the face of his follower. "You’re the guard from before! Why are you following me?" The pink Draik lowered her weapon. "Skarl’s advisors didn’t trust you. They said you may be a poor mage, but you aren’t a fool. They knew if you were coming down here that you had something to gain from it. They sent me to make sure you didn’t loot the artifacts of Old Meridell by grabbing them and teleporting to the rubbish dump or something. But I can see you likely have other intentions." She jabbed the parchment Talzadon was clenching with the end of her spear. Realizing he’d been caught, Talzadon fessed up. "I really am here for the Whispering Wail Sword. It’s real, and I have a map that leads straight too it, see, look for yourself." He angled his wrinkled map towards the guard, who studied it incredulously. "Where did you get that?" she replied. Her tone didn’t reveal much about whether or not she believed him."When Fearieland fell, as buildings crumbled and the clouds came tumbling down to the Neopian earth, many millions of books, papers, and records fell. A few hundred landed on my own farm. Clearly the documents that landed were from a secret library. Many were partially burned, or otherwise destroyed. This sheet however, fell completely intact. It details the dungeons of the buried castles, and marks the location of the Whispering Wail Sword." "How could you possibly know that this is a real, accurate map. How are you so sure of this that you would risk your life following it? It could be completely made up for all you know!" This time Talzadon could tell she was hoping the map was real."A few days after the papers fell, a team of uniformed faerie Neopets came and started picking up every single scrap of paper.

"Mundo The Grundo vs The Alien Aishas:Part Three" by randmar
Last time, on Mundo Grundo vs The Alien Aishas Mundo, our student scientist, caught wind of a potential massive attacking happening on his home, the Virtupets Space Station. Upon hearing the news, he decided that he could not just sit idle and wait for the enemy to strike. He had to do something. He wanted to be a part of history and make a positive impact. So he chose to run out of his apartment pod, despite the station wide lockdown, and deliberately disobey the law in order to do something. "This is a LOCKDOWN. You are under arrest, you are not allowed to leave your pod. Since you can't obey that order we will put you in the pod prison to keep you in order." The Grundos then grabbed Mundo up and dragged him off. He was taken off to a jail pod, where he had all his emotions and anxiety wash over him. It all had taken a toll and left him exhausted, so he laid down to sleep. — — — — "Hey, get up," a sharp whisper cut through the silence and jolted Mundo awake. "Be quiet!!" "Wh-what? What's going...what's going on?" Mundo was clearly disoriented from being half asleep, and his brain was foggy. "The power went out, all the pods malfunctioned." Mundo's vision started to get a bit clearer as he wiped the sleep from his eyes and he could see it was the Acara inmate from earlier in front of him. Shocked, he backed up against the wall. "I'm on your side here kid, get it together," the Acara said. "The name is Petrina. Good to meet ya!" "Hi...hi Petrina. I'm Mundo," Mundo replied shyly."Mundo the Grundo! What a name...geez your parents weren't doing any favors," another voice cut through, as the Lutari approached. "I'm Tyree. We're going to bust out of here now, you in?" "You can't just break out of prison!!" Mundo was not down for this plan, he was a rule follower and a good citizen, he didn't want to get mixed up in all of this. "It's either break out of prison and have a better shot at living, or wait in this cell for whatever is out there to come in here," said Petrina with a bit of anger in her voice.
