Hi Adler, can we get a schedule for the storytelling contest for the next few months? Or a topic on the Writer’s board would be helpful! With the current schedule ongoing schedule being in the last two weeks of the month, I hope the December contest doesn’t get cut short too much with the holidays. I love festive stories! I've seen mixed opinions in the Art Neoboard about whether it's OK to enter the same piece of art multiple times for the same gallery. For example, uploading the same image file multiple times with different titles, or the exact same title/file repeatedly uploaded the same day or on adjacent days leading up to the Pet Day or Theme in question. Some people claim uploading duplicates will increase your chances, while others say this will just clog up the server and make the Meepit sysadmins angry. Could the Contest Judge clarify whether this is allowed or encouraged? (This is only regarding duplicate submissions for a particular day's contest -- entering different angles, variations, or resubmitting rejected art seems to be universally uncontested!) It would be great if the Art Gallery FAQs were updated as well. Thanks! ~musiclives2001

Yes, you may submit duplicate entries, but it is not necessary.

Please rest assured that I personally see every single valid submission that comes through the Art Gallery system! Uploading the same image multiple times—whether under different titles, on the same day, or back-to-back leading up to a themed contest—does not increase your chances of winning.

In fact, massive amounts of duplicate entries actually create a bottleneck for me behind the scenes. It takes me significantly longer to sort through the queue when I have to weed through excessive duplicate files, which slows down the selection process for everyone.

So while you won't get disqualified for submitting a duplicate, saving your clicks helps me keep the Neopian servers running smoothly and gets the gallery updated that much faster. (And as a bonus, it keeps the Meepits happy!) We'll also look into updating the Art Gallery FAQs to make this clear for future artists.

I am really really excited to see that you are circling back and making tokens for pets that may not have been included in the first round of a theme. For example, the Mischievous Mutant set. I hope this is a trend, and the pet fans who missed out on this round can hope to see their favorite pet in those poses in the future. They're SO good. I want to put a good word in for the a Delightful Chocolate Ixi and associated prismatic colors. Those are just amazing and I can't wait to see them! I am officially smitten with the Styling Studio, but I'm going to have to get a second job to keep up with my token habit! ~eliz1bef
