I lugged my bags into the reception with the help of my red Kacheek,
BizzyKit2000. The Faerie at the check-in desk was really nice and gave
me a map of the hotel so I wouldn't have a problem getting to the restaurant
and the indoor pool etc. She took our names and and lead us up the twisting,
curving marble stair case, while I was busy looking at all of the magnificent
peach coloured carpets and all of the crystal chandeliers that were brightly
lit before us.
I had booked us a deluxe room to stay those three nights we were staying
there, as it was nice and big with two levels and two beds. I couldn't
believe the service there; it was great, especially the room service that
BizzyKit2000 secretly ordered on the booking form. They were so quick
at everything!!
Anyway, we both unpacked our things, along with BizzyKit's Kiko squeeze
toy that she can play with in the bath. I got her changed into her denim
dungarees and red bandanna while I was having a shower. All of a sudden
there was BizzyKit2000 chucking bucket loads of water on the floor with
her bucket and spade she made me take with us so she could play with her
Kiko plushie. Silly thing!
When I got out, I gave BizzyKit a quick bath (with her Kiko Toy!) and
we both got dressed to go down to dinner. We used the map that Faerie
gave us and eventually got to the restaurant We both had a five course
meal, which was lovely; Garlic bread with a bit of Tomato soup to go with
it, then a nice piece of pork with a salad dressing, and for pudding we
had a superb helping of Strawberry Sponge cake with strawberry sprinkles
to go on top. Lovely.
I decided that I wanted to explore the Hotel a bit more, so I took BizzyKit2000
up to our room and tucked her into bed, whilst I went and had a nice long
swim in the clear blue waters. After that, I was very tired, but I could
hear some of the opera going on in the Opera Hall, so I went and watched
four singers before I staggered back up to my room. I had a great first
night there.
In the morning, BizzyKit begged me to take here down to the gardens at
the front of the hotel to play a bit of croquet, so in the end I agreed,
and we ended up having a nice Neopian breakfast complete with bacon and
white toast, and then heading out to the gardens. We had a nice afternoon
at the outdoor pool, and in the evening we headed back out to the restaurant.
We had the same five course meal again and went back to the indoor pool.
The next morning, I decided to get a jump start on packing. But we couldn't
leave without going to the small grooming parlour first and getting our
hair and nails done! We had a last game of croquet in the gardens after
out second Neopian breakfast, and in the afternoon, we decided to just
relax in the gardens by the pool side. In the evening, I begged BizzyKit2000
to come with me to the Opera Hall for our last night, so that was that
done. Then we went swimming in the indoor pool again for our last time,
to help us digest our third and final five course meal.
We then went back to our room to finish our packing and get a bit sleep
before our journey back to Neopia. In the morning, we treated ourselves
to another session at the grooming parlour, and another croquet game in
the gardens. An hour later our holiday at the Hotel Opera was over, and
we were taken back to Neopia on the holiday bus. BizzyKit2000 boasts about
it to her friends all of the time, but she still says she wants to go
back there for a longer time one day. Maybe that's true? Maybe we will.
So treat your pets to a vacation, because it's worth it!
