The Life of Faeries

by xxevilkittyxx

--------

The Secret Life of Faeries.

Faeries have it made, right? Their popularity is extremely good, they have no worries, they have their own items, avatars, shopkeepers, magazines, everything. Every regular Neopet girl, and some boys, would like to be a faerie.

But what really goes on with Faeries? They're life can't be all THAT perfect, there has to be SOME glitches, right?

Well, me and my research team went to interview the secret life of Faeries, yet they didn't know that we were actually reporters. We first interviewed the Water Faerie. Very easy life, yet it doesn't always go easy when dealing with water.

She always had complaints. One here from the Goddess of Whales from playing her music too loud, one from the Goddess of Starfish because she was conducting experiments and spells too late at night and disrupting the oceans calmness, causing chaos. Though she was just trying to do good.

"What's so good about being a Water Faerie, if you can't even practice being one?" The faerie told the reporters with a shrug of the shoulders, "It's not always fun and games... in fact, it's usually NOT fun at all!" This was just one of the many encounters we reporters got while our visits around the Faeries.

Next was the Earth Faerie. Just from hearing your name, you'd think she'd have a peaceful, relaxing life, right? WRONG. No where near it! Here's our interview with her.

Reporters: "What's it like being the Faerie of Earth?"

Illusen: "It's okay, most the time. But the animals are ALWAYS coming and nagging on me! Do this, do that, my plants are dying make them better, make it rain, make it snow, make it sunny. And what do I get in return? More complaints! I never get a moments peace!"

Reporters: "Aside from all this, don't you like your popularity intake?"

Illusen: "Popularity? Yeah right! It's all Fyora and Sloth and all those who get the attention, I'm just here for the looks!"

Reporters: "And how does this make you feel?"

Illusen: *slaps reporters*

So, as you can see, so far, not good. Who knew being a Faerie could be so stressful? Next, we interviewed the Fire Faerie, and let me tell you, this wasn't very pretty either.

Reporters: "So, what's it like being the Faerie of Fire? Probably pretty hot sometimes, eh?"

Fire Faerie: "Oh yeah. Always, there's never a dull moment, and never relaxing time either! I mean, you'd think the Fire Faerie wouldn't really have a job, right? Well, I DO! I'm like a little 'Miss Fix It" around here. They take my fire for granted! Just yesterday, Fyora called me up saying she didn't have any matches, right? And she needed me to burn her a candle! Yeah right! So misunderstood."

Reporters: "Sounds harsh."

Fire Faerie: "You bet, I mean... I never get any respect."

Reporters: "But you must enjoy the popularity by the Neopians, you always have them."

Fire Faerie: "Well, yeah, but they don't know how it feels."

Reporters: "I wouldn't say that."

Fire Faerie: "Whatever. Now, get out, I need to go pamper."

Reporters: "Alrighty then..." *leaves*

Well, as you can see, it looks as if Fire Faerie has it the worst yet. So disrespected! Now, Fyora's turn, and let me tell you, she had NO problems whatsoever with being a Faerie.

Reporters: "So, Fyora, what's it like being a faerie?"

Fyora: "Its wonderful! I love it. The clothes, the popularity, the items, everything!"

Reporters: "So your life is easy?"

Fyora: "Duh."

Reporters: "No worries?"

Fyora: "None."

Reporters: "Doesn't it get a LITTLE aggravating after a while?"

Fyora: *thinks for a second* "Nope."

Reporters: "Don't you feel guilty for the other faeries who are beneath you?"

Fyora: "Nu-uh."

Reporters: "Not even a li--"

Fyora: "Can we hurry this up? I have an appointment at 10."

Reporters: "Oh, okay.."

Fyora: "In fact, just get out now."

Well, Fyora sure likes her life. Maybe a little TOO much. Maybe we should give her something to cry about, don't you think? *plots* >.>; Anyways, there you have it. Lots more faeries to interview, and lots more to hear pout about how stinky their life is.

Next interview is with the Island Faerie. Now, she doesn't have it as bad, but she still has it bad. ^_^

Reporters: "So, Island Faerie, how do you like your life of a faerie?"

Island F.: "It's alright. Sometimes boring, and when there's a job to do, it's mainly something small. Like, fix a tree branch that fell down off a palm tree, make the waves bigger so I can surf, blah blah blah."

Reporters: "Sounds awful. What other Faeries do you hang out with?"

Island F.: "Fyora, Illusen, and the Tooth Faerie. Though, Fyora really forced me to be her friend. Trust me, it wasn't pretty."

Reporters: "Ouch."

Island F.: "Yup."

Reporters: "What do you do in your free time?"

Island F.: "Shop. And create more items for shops of..yours truly, ME!"

Reporters: "Sounds fun."

Island F.: "It's pretty easy once you get used to it."

Reporters: "Does your life ever get boring?"

Island F.: "Definitely. I've always dreamed of being a regular Neopian!"

Reporters: "Really? That's something we haven't heard before."

Island F.: "Yes. I've always wondered what it would be like."

Well, isn't that just a splendid life that the Island Faerie leads? It sounds fun, don't you think? So, NOW are you happy you're just a regular Neopian?

Now, if you ever wanted to be a faerie, has your opinion changed? Or has it stayed the same. If you get to be a faerie like Fyora, I wouldn't worry... but you wouldn't be too sure if you got a spot as say, the Fire Faerie. Now, would you? Just remember, that being a regular Neopian can sometimes come in handy, especially when the popularity intake, such as Fyora's, hits you hardly, so you turn greedy.

*Fyora runs in* "What did you just say?"

Reporters: "Nothing..."

Fyora: "Oh no you didn't. *tackles*"

So there you have it, folks. Be happy with what you have, and not what you want to have. That's it for now! *static*
