Quote of the Week
The dappled light of the spring sunshine filtered through the burgeoning canopy and down onto the warm earth underpaw. Blade tips of new grasses were interspersed by the first blooms of flowers that dared to poke their heads above the figurative parapets...
A Guide to Owning an Elephante
A Guide to Owning an Elephante by iloveoreos_
Everyone loves their Neopet - yes, that's true. But not many people know how to care for the often overlooked Elephante. You may know to walk your Lupe or how to comb your Wocky, but do you really know how to properly care for your Elephante?? This guide will tell you everything that you need to know!!
1. Feed them their favorite foods
Believe it or not, Elephantes absolutely love snacking. Their favorite snack of all is peanuts! I suggest starting out with a Basket of Peanuts, but if that doesn’t satiate your Elephante then you will want to buy a Bag of Peanuts as well. Yes, they are a bit on the expensive side but you want nothing but the best for your precious Elephante. As a bonus, feeding them a Bag of Peanuts for the first time will also get you a nice, shiny avatar – Elephante Surprise. You can use this avatar for chatting on the Neoboards or in your guild and show off your true love for this awesome Neopet!!
For Elephantes with more expensive tastes there are rare Gourmet Foods. Your pet will truly be living the life of luxury when you feed them these amazing dishes. This automatically puts your pet into the Gourmet Club, where they can compete to eat the highest number of the most exquisite foods in Neopia. |
Welcome to Meridell
MERIDELL - Fighting through the bushes that are blocking your path, you emerge upon the top of the hill and bask in the beauty of the land below: it's the medieval world reigned by King Skarl. You look around in the distance seeing the great blue and red castle, a village, plenty of farmland and fields, and an array of shops. Welcome to Meridell, and here we will take a closer look at this marvelous medieval kingdom and all that it has to offer.
After looking around, you start walking on the faint light green path on the ground. You gaze around looking for the first place you want to learn about. You hear a greeting from the right, and you turn to see a smiling brown Ixi with a crown on her head! Why, this must be Shapeshifter!
Sinsi welcomes you to her home and invites you over to a red and white checkered blanket and talks about the rules and just how much her friends love her games! On the blanket lay plenty of different shapes. All it takes to win is to get all the icons to be the same. For only twelve years old, it appears Sinsi is a very smart young Ixi. It has also been heard that you can gain an avatar by playing this game! Why not play a few games and see if you can get it? Doesn't hurt to try, right? After your done playing Shapeshifter, you look around to the next event you should go to. You notice a small pond and a group of Neopets lined up in a row. |

"The Breadmaster's Story" by maryannyks It was a regular day at the sea, where pirates were working on their ship, scurrying about, yelling things to each other. On this ship, also worked a Kacheek as the ship's cook. He would make food for the hungry pirates day after day, up to three or four times a day, depending on how hungry the pirates were. Every pirate knew him and loved his food, all of Krawk Island treasured the things he made. He loved his job, he loved making different kinds of foods, but most of all things, he liked to bake. The Kacheek would bake intricate cookies and pies and cakes that would look like delicate flowers and tasted so heavenly, some pirates thought he cooked with faerie magic. Pirates preferred other kinds of food, sadly. They wanted their slop and meat, potatoes and different fruit grogs. The Kacheek felt like his talent is wasted on the ship and felt like he needed a change.
After another exhausting day as the ship's cook, the Kacheek (also known as Breaddy), figured it would be the last day as a cook on the pirate ship. He decided to try out something different as soon as the ship would sail back to Krawk Island. He was born in Krawk Island and it had been his home for years. He couldn't even dream of living somewhere else, even though he disliked the pirate ways of life. |
"The Shadow of Takeryuu" by cosmicfire918 The time is thousands of years before Neopia’s present day. The Circle of Twelve, with the wizard Jahbal at its head, rules the Great Empire in the area of what is now Neopia Central. But the Circle has overstepped its bounds and begun misusing its power, succumbing to greed and anger. Even now, the southern city of Kal Panning plans for a revolt, but it will not end well for them.
Meanwhile, far to the west, on the other side of the Mountains at the End of the World, lies Shenkuu.
Life at the Lotus Mountain Temple was bliss for Eunji. The faerie Vandagyre could feel the harmonious energies of the area flow and meld with the rocky crags, the ancient pines, the mists that twined through the valleys below, and the merrily painted pillars and roofs of the temple. Bright colours attracted positive energies, Master Cheol always said. That was why Eunji and the other geomancers kept the temple well-painted.
Eunji’s pink wings flittered as she bounded up the narrow wooden steps to the waterfall where the acolytes obtained their daily water. Chores were a joy at Lotus Mountain Temple. Everyone’s work helped keep the place running, and through their joint efforts, harmony was maintained and energy flowed as bounteous as a river. |
"Leave Room for the Impossible:Part Two" by unfogging Eliss continued to stare at the rainbow fountain, still in disbelief. She looked down at her book in her arms suspiciously, but it still looked the same. What had just happened?
However, her confusion was soon replaced by pure wonder as she gazed open-mouthed at the world around her.
Faerieland. She was actually in Faerieland! Just like she had always dreamed of.
In person, it was even more amazing than she expected. Buildings of bright purple and teal floated in clouds above her head. Waterfalls of the clearest blue cascaded in the landscape around her, complimented by the brightest of green grass and colorful flowers. Famous landmarks stood out to her: The rainbow wheel of excitement, offering Neopets the chance to win all sorts of amazing prizes. Jhudora's Bluff, where Faerieland's most notorious troublemaker gave Neopets fabulous rewards – at a cost.
Faerieland had been number one on her list of places she wanted to see. As a young Aisha, when other Neopets were drawing pictures of the stones and rocks that occupied all of Tyrannia, Eliss had drawn pictures of rainbows and clouds. Her favorite poster was of the rainbow fountain, and rested above her bed in her room. She'd read everything possible about Faerieland and had been in love with it for as long as she could remember. |
