 The Delicious Way to Celebrate Meridell Day

Another year gone by, another Meridell Day to celebrate! On this day in Year 4 Meridell was discovered. Help celebrate Discovery of Meridell day this year by eating some of the kingdom’s most delicious food and drink items. There is no better way to celebrate than to have a good old feast!! Mmmm. This article lists some wonderful food items that your pet might like to sample on this day. Entrée     
Some delicious entrée items listed here! First up comes the cheapest option: Chunky Meaty Stew. As the name suggests it is a meat filled dish that is supposedly quite filling. According to the item description the meat is made up of left overs from the castle kitchen. Not sure about what that means or how keen I would be to try this one, but you never know! Secondly comes the Sausage and Pea Soup. A Meridellian favourite! Strangely the combination of the sausage and pea sounds quite yummy. The bowl for this soup is made to resemble the Meridell Castle, with a Meridell coloured band around the rim of the bowl. The spoon for this soup contains the image of the Meridell shield too. A very appropriate and themed item to help celebrate Meridell day this year. Next up comes the Turnip Gruel, a boiled cereal with turnips. Interesting. I myself am not a fan of Turnips, but it looks quite appetising. A beautiful rich reddish colour, it is one of the many gruels on offer from Merifoods, and is probably the most scrumptious. Stone Soup is up next on the entrée list, according to the description it is a low calorie alternative to all those creamy soups. Well, we can certainly see why! It seems to be made up of just water and stones. An interesting combination, I’m sure the stones would go down well. But again, a classic Meridell option for this special day, so why not give it a go. Lastly on this list for entrées is the Flat Bread. I rarely enjoy my soup without bread, so the Flat Bread is perfect. It is great for soaking up gruel or on its own. Delicious! Main     
And on to the Main dishes!! First up is the Giant Shish Kabob. As the name suggests it is made from lots of different items. The skewer itself is a Meridell spear, and there is a shield to top it all off. According to the description, the shield is just decoration and it is not recommended to eat it. It looks fabulous though. The Giant Shish Kabob is a gourmet food, so feeding this item to your pet will work towards the Gourmet food badge. Next up is the Ham and Turkey Feast. This main dish is a feast in itself as the name suggests, comprised of both ham and turkey meats. Mmm. It is artfully displayed on a wooden plate, and again, this is a Gourmet food for your pet to enjoy this Meridell day. Slorg Potatoes are next, and would you look at those eyes! So cute! But alas, this dish is made from Mash Potatoes and gravy in the shape of a Slorg. A fantastic combination of two favourite food items. This dish is also gourmet. Another Slorg shaped food item is next on our main dish list: Slorg Meatloaf. It is a delicious mix of meatloaf, sauce and garnish. The cute little smile on the meatloaf is hard to ignore, but this is another amazing dish from Merifoods your pet will love. Again, like all of the other main dishes on this list, this is gourmet and relatively cheap. Last up on the main dish list is Meridellian Style Mash Potatoes. Obviously a favourite of the Meridellian kingdom, this dish comes complete with a flag. Can’t really compete with that! Desserts and Delicacies     
    
You can’t really have a feast without some desserts. In this list are items that are considered delicacies, and some of us might have even seen them before when trying to obtain a certain pet. Draik Eggs are all gourmet foods, and range in price between approximately 400K NP and 5M NP. If you are lucky enough to see and buy one from Merifoods, good on you! There are four basic colours: red, blue, green and yellow. Then there are the rarer eggs: Island, Desert, Darigan, Zombie and Ice. All highly sought after and all gourmet. The last dessert listed here is Sparkleberry and Cream. It was released in May this year, so it is a relatively new dessert you can feed to your pet this Meridell Day. It is also gourmet, and has a moving animation as part of its design. Drinks    
Up very last on our journey through delicious Meridell dishes is the drinks list. One might need a nice drink to wash all this yummy food down. Illusen Day Drink is shaped just like Illusen’s dress! Interesting concept for a drink but it is refreshingly cold and delicious. Belt buckle and dress frill are included. Fruit Juice Sack is next up on the list, and this drink is made from a mix and blend of fruits and berries. Not only is it nice and refreshing but it is easy to travel with, thanks to the sack it is contained in. This drink item is gourmet. Next up: Braku Berry Juice. As the name suggests this drink is made from crushing Braku berries. It is considered super sweet, but easy to carry and travel with. Also gourmet. Lastly, the Fresh Fruit Goblet is a delicious and fruity drink fit for a king (it says so in the description). Not only does this drink look royal, but I bet it tastes fantastic. A little on the expensive side, but those extra grapes draped over the side of the goblet do look fancy. Worth it! This goblet is gourmet as well.
