QUICK QUESTIONS

Welcome back to another round of Quick Questions! In this week's edition, we will be kicking things off with the goalkeeper, Fanetti from Team Haunted Woods!

Interviewer: “We’re here today with a special guest, scurrying out from the deepest darkness in the Haunted Woods. Please give a warm welcome to the Horror to Scorers, the Ghoul of Goalkeeping, the Verbose Vampire, and the Count of Quick-saves… Team Haunted Woods’ very own… Fanetti!”

Fanetti: “My, my, that’s a lot of nicknames. Am I really known by all of them?”

Interviewer: “One of your teammates asked me to introduce you like that. According to my research, ‘Count of Quick-saves’ seems to be picking up steam even outside the Woods.”

Fanetti: “One of my teammates, eh? I am certain I know who that is… Though I am surprised she approached you on her own. She must be getting more comfortable with others now that she has spent some time with us.”

Interviewer: “You’re talking about Inola Barick, right? If so, then your guess is spot-on. She seemed very sweet, but didn’t talk much. She just handed me a card with all those nicknames on it. Which leads me to ask: so little is still known about Varwolves, so she’s one of the first in the public eye. What’s it been like working with her, and how has she integrated into the team?”

Fanetti: “I must say, she was quite shy at first – likely why she didn’t say much – but she fell in love with Yooyuball the moment she saw us play. I cannot blame her; it is a noble and most entertaining sport, after all! As for how she is fitting in… Well. Do any of us truly ‘fit in’ anywhere? Our team is a team of misfits – and in that way, she is right at home with us.”

Interviewer: “How so?”

Fanetti: “For one, she has given us all… copious nicknames, as you yourself now have a first-hand account of. Second, she tends to disappear on us at the smallest sound – which would be a useful trick on the pitch; however, it has led us more than once to believe ghosts were stealing our water bottles. It would not be the first time that has happened, in the spirit of fairness. But we appreciate this about her – after all, we all have our own quirks, such as Crade leaving smoke behind when he flies especially fast, or Brains Mortigan and his… ah, everything.”

Interviewer: “It sounds like she’s found a good home with you all.”

Fanetti: “Ah-ha! Yes, I like to believe so. She is getting braver every day – but I cannot take credit for that alone. I do escort her to and from practices, as it turns out I live closer to the Varwolf village than my teammates; however, we are all intent on making sure she feels safe and welcomed as she gets accustomed to life outside her village… and with the delightfully frightening creatures of the Haunted Woods.”

Interviewer: “Delightful indeed! This has been a wonderful interview, Fanetti. I’m sure everyone is waiting with bated breath to see you work your magic on the pitch, and to see how Inola fares in the big wide world of Neopia!”

Next up, we have the Left Forward from Team Terror Mountain, please welcome Evrem Guilako!

Interviewer: “Thank you for your time, Evrem. I know your team has been busy preparing for the Altador Cup and with running Camp Honeysnow before that. You’ve certainly had a lot going on!”

Evrem: “Yes. Very busy. But good busy. We… Urh. We want do good for Osi. He has help us a lot. He wants help others too.”

Interviewer: “That’s right. It must have been devastating hearing about his condition. How are you – and Osielle – coping with the loss of his sight?”

Evrem: “He still can see. But he… Seeing goes away. Some days good, some days not so good. But… Urh. Sorry. Ugg-ka gah-ack-acka. I cannot think of… the right words.”

Interviewer: “You’re doing great, Evrem. I’m sorry, I should have asked – would you like a translator?”

Evrem: “Ug-ugg. Yes please.”

INTERVIEWER’S NOTE: The following portion of Evrem’s interview has been translated from Tyrannian. There may be some inaccuracies – we at the Neopian Times invite constructive feedback and gentle correction on any cultural nuances we may have overlooked.

Evrem: “Thank you. To answer your question, Osielle has good days and bad days. Some days he can see perfectly, others he can’t. We don’t know the specifics, but we want to support him – and others like him, who worry they can’t do what they love because they aren’t fully able-bodied. That is why we founded Camp Honeysnow.”

Interviewer: “I’m sure he appreciates your support. And so do the countless Neopians out there you’re helping with this training camp.”

Evrem: “Of course. Osielle and I are friends. I would even say he is my best friend – he was the first on the team to learn Tyrannian, just to make things easier for me. He even learned the dialect spoken in my village, and then taught the rest of the team, too. Terror Mountain is cold, but their hearts are the warmest in all of Neopia.”

Interviewer: “I can believe that! Now, one final question: what activity at Camp Honeysnow are you most excited about?”

Evrem: “Osi and I have been learning braille together, so I’m looking forward to having a teacher to learn from. I’m also excited for Minae [Mitora, the Team Terror Mountain goalkeeper’s cooking class, and her tips on making home kitchens more accessible. I’m terrible at cooking. Anything I try to make is either hard as a rock or tastes like dung. Or both.”

Interviewer: “Well, then let’s hope your team can work miracles off the Yooyuball pitch too! Thank you again for your time, Evrem, and good luck with Camp Honeysnow!”

Hello TNT, Isn't Luperus supposed to be three-headed Lupe? It seems like the plot treats him like a petpet. Is there a reason that this particular Lupe is considered that way? Thanks. ~black_skull725
There are a number of creatures in Neopia that resemble Neopets but differ from them in their own ways. Luperus is one of these. ~~ TNT Jewel

Hi, TNT! I really look forward to seeing the art for the monthly premium TCG cards, but I think June is missing? My subscription hasn't lapsed, so was it just forgotten that month? Please release the art! Thanks! :D ~ninsqueak
Hello! The June Premium Trading Card was released on time!
I would recommend writing to Customer Support, so they can look into your account specifically to help resolve this issue. In the meantime, here is the art for the card you can admire:

Dear TNT, If one is going to summon Vocivus, I think it must be important to pronounce his name correctly. We had some fun dialogue over on the boards but were divided. Would the name be pronounced like latin...er.. that is old Elderus...with W's...waw-KEE-woos or is it just as written vo civ us? ~smudgeoffudge
The modern-day pronunciation of Vocivus is as written (Vah-Siv-Uss), but the Vandagyre society that originally named him would have indeed pronounced it differently (Waw-KEE-Woos). However, he likely won't mind you calling him either name as he crushes you underfoot! ~~ TNT Aesop

Good day to you. So today I aquired a beautiful Royal Girl Elephante. Much was my disappointment when I tried to customize her and I realized her paint brush outfit is zoned as a wig, which means she cannot wear it with a wig. Is it possible at all to rezone it to the dress zone (puppy dog eyes). Thank you for looking into this. :) ~ amzinggrace100
Hello and good day to you! Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We have updated the Royalgirl Elephante's Paintbrush outfit's hood to be in a different zone, so that it can be customised with wigs! Happy customising!

Hey TNT, quick question about the Void Chapter Replay Cookies. Are you able to get the full 4k plot points for replaying the chapter? And do you also get the prizes from reading the chapter you chose? I’m assuming the only way to get points is hospital shifts and daily void essence collection and not from the voidlings in the battledome, is this true? ~rustedtentacles
The best way to maximize your plot points would be through the Volunteer Centre and the Reserve Barracks. You can earn all prizes from reading the story that were available while the plot was active, and most of the prizes for the other activities, but some prizes have been removed from certain pools to prevent price deflation of those items. Read the full Chapter Replay Fortune Cookie FAQ for more info!

Hi TNT thank you for all the hard work you guys are doing! I just wanted to let you guys know the item Elegant Haunted Garland is glitched. After you save a custom with it on, the image preview adds two chandeliers that aren't supposed to be there and makes it look weird. Is there anyway you guys could fix it? ^^ ~exposeddreams
Hello! Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We have fixed this wearable, so it should no longer glitch! Happy Customising!

*** ASK ADLER ***

Hello! I recently noticed that I have the picture contest trophy from getting into the art gallery, but I don’t recall ever being accepted to the gallery. Is there any possible way to search our past gallery entries? ~cottontailcat

Hi cottontailcat! Unfortunately, there is no way to retroactively view past galleries without searching through the pages manually. ~~ Adler

Dear TNT, I have a question about the prizes for the Mystery Pic contest. For the past few months, the prize has been clearly related to the answer for the round. Last time this happened and someone asked, it turned out to be a mistake on the part of the person running the contest and was discontinued. But it's been so consistent recently, is this a new policy? I think it's funny and I don't mind the help (if I manage to get the connection), but as far as I know, it wasn't supposed to happen. ~amethyst43217

Hi amethyst43217! We don't have specific policies regarding what prize is awarded each week but we can confirm that you may find a cheeky little hint here and there if you look closely... shhh! ~~Adler

HAPPY THOUGHTS

It's not really a question, just a shout out and a very heartfelt thank you to the NP team for making site events feel more inclusive and accessible for Neopians with busy and hectic lives and who may be not-so-able-bodied like me. The Altador Cup is the most recent example. I know it's been shortened and also that hardcore players are upset that ranking isn't as grind-heavy or challenging for them this year, but as someone with a disabling condition that affects my ability to play games for long stretches of time, this means so much to have an actually attainable goal this year. It nearly brought tears to my eyes because it means I don't have to feel like I'm missing out again because I'm different. I know it's hard to both serve a hardcore gaming community and to be inclusive with all kinds of Neopians, but I just wanted to say I just really appreciate the efforts from the whole team and the work you've all continued to do. ~nikerio

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to TNT Luna for taking care of a ton of old item error issues! Thank you!!! ~quailbat
I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to JN Quail for compiling those lists! Thanks to TNT Dom’s company card on an in-flight Wi-Fi purchase and a long international haul, expect more spelling fixes soon.
(P.S. Apologies in advance for any future errors; they are largely because I never made it to Spelling Bee nationals in 3rd grade)
~~Luna

I just wanna say that you are all doing a phenomenal job with some of the new QoL updates. Changes to the lab ray interface seem small, but really improve the usability of the site on mobile! Keep knocking it out of the park! ~smol_gremlin

I just wanted to say Thankyou to the whole of TNT for your hard work at reviving Neopia! I know that each and every one of you has an important role to play, & you should all get more credit! You have given us a Plot & More Site Events, as well as improving the Communication & Support. I especially love the Game Challenges, Sakhmet Solitaire & now Kiko Match 3. It encourages me to revisit games I forgot about & discover new ones. I really hope this is something that will continue! Much Love! ~poizen
