Atilan

It was a bad year. It was the rotting season, and we were weak, but we could survive it as we had survived many bad years. That year a monstrous white bird arrived on the shore.

Triccity's Travels: Mystery Island

I wasn’t sure how far I travelled or for how long before I heard something big heading my way. I couldn’t hide and I doubted running would help since I didn’t know how fast the thing was moving.

Magnum Imperium: The Candidate

However, there was energy, a magical current that flowed throughout. It was wild and dangerous. It was also unstable; it’s temperature would soar to scorching heights one moment and plummet to frosty depths the next.

Wish-Granting

When it came time for the group to retire for the night, the Chia was among the weariest Neopets in camp, except for perhaps Skyleur herself, and for a moment Skyleur was worried that the Chia would insist on giving up her bed.

The Adventures of Goryx and Xyrog

It seems we have a glitching satellite that managed to send out a rogue broadcast but nothing to be alarmed about, we already have someone on the case to get that fixed and we are back to our regular programming here at the Space Station.

Castle Planner's Journal: 1000 Years

The chiming of distant bells signalled the changing of the hour, and came as a great relief for Lisha as she jumped out of her chair. She had been so patiently waiting to escape the confines of the library.

25 Reasons We're Still Here, 25 Years Later

When friends ask: why are you still playing Neopets? Isn’t that game from the early 2000’s?! You think for a while, but you can’t pinpoint the one exact reason why you’re still here - is it the vibes? Do you miss your pets? Or do you like feeling rich as a neo-billionaire? There are many different reasons why many of us choose to spend hours of our lives immersed in Neopia. So let us help you out with this list of 25 reasons why we’re still here, 25 years later! 1. Re-living the nostalgia - Neopets hasn’t changed! The core site, the art work, the cast of characters, the world map of Neopia and all its lands are still intact, just as you remembered in the days of yore. Neopets has been preserved as a treasured time travel capsule to your old beloved digital toybox. 2. Escaping the real world. Most users are adults now, which means real life responsibilities. And sometimes, we could use a break from those real life obligations by dropping in to visit our pixelated pet world. 3. Your pets are starving so you’re back to feed them. Though, you know better now than to feed them omelettes - after all, those need to be saved for the annual Faerie Festival Recycling. Instead, to the Neolodge they go!4. Achieving dream pets is possible now! Speaking of the Faerie Festival, the once ever elusive Rainbow Fountain Faerie now makes regular appearances during this annual event to grant the dream pet colour of your choosing. What's more, Quest Log has also swooped into the scene. Re-releasing those rare paint brushes and morphing potions help close the gap in making those dreamies come true! 5. Customising pets. You’re an adult and you have the money to buy NC (or more accurately, the decision-making powers to do so). Complete your dream pets by dressing them up. Mix and match, exchange fun ideas, create different fitting combinations, spend hours on the NC trading boards to find a white Radiant Glow, and bask in the satisfaction of nailing the finishing look!

Bones & Birthday Cake: A Lenny Curator Tale
The huge, looming skeleton of the Monoceraptor with sharp, gaping teeth - endless file cabinets of dusty records and research dating back hundreds of years back - clean glass drawers full of delicate, shining scarab beetle specimens. These are scenes that may be awe-inspiring to the average Neopian, but to the Lenny Curator, this was his everyday life.

A Monster's Birthday Bash
It was a quiet night in the Haunted Woods. The moon was a crescent above the ancient tower and the light made the barren tree branches look like crackling black lightning. It was chilly but not yet cold. Nothing was falling from the sky-- not rain, snow, nor Spyders. Collab with darkpixie28
