How to Have Your Chocolate and Faerie Festival Too! Is there such a thing as too much chocolate? The answer is NEVER! With the Faerie Festival right around the corner, you may be wondering how to best utilize your time to collect quality donation items without skimping out on the chocolate. Grab your Box of Chocolate Larnikins, and a cup of Caramel Hot Chocolate and read on to find out how you can have your chocolate and Faerie Festival too! The Faerie Festival typically occurs during the Month of Gathering lasting for about 2 weeks and you need to prepare in advance or you could end up forking over an Elephante ton of Neopoints to buy 270 items that are R102-179 to meet the maximum threshold of 2,160 points. Toss out that Blue Broom and take a trip to the Wheel of Misfortune to forget all you learned from your “Guide to House Cleaning.” It’s time to channel your inner Harry the Mutant Moehog Hoarder and get started on hoarding chocolates and quality donation items! Important! You need to hoard purposely and mindfully or you’ll end up with an abundance of junk items worth only 1 point each and all your chocolate goodies will get lost in the abyss of your SDB. Let’s take a journey around Neopia so we can stock up on chocolate goodies AND good quality donation items. The Giant Omelette You may be surprised to find that a daily trip to the Giant Omelette does more good than just feeding your pets for free! Try to snag a Chocolate Omelette for your chocolate stash, and keep an eye out for all omelettes that have Tomato, Green Pepper, Bacon, Sausage, BBQ sauce, and Cheese - unless there is HAM in it! Faeries DO NOT like Ham and Cheese Omelettes, hence why they’re worth only 1 donation point. Snowager Make sure you dress warm, for our next destination is in the Ice Caves of Terror Mountain. Deep inside the icy cavern, a vast pile of treasure is guarded by the infamous Snowager. Hopefully you and your pet have mastered the art of espionage and stealth so that you can make it past the Snowager and grab some goodies. I bet you didn’t know that Faeries love scratchcards, particularly the Terror Trove Scratchcard and Faeries Fortune Scratchcard. And while you’re risking your neck, you may as well grab a Chocolate Candy Filled Negg, Melted Chocolate Negg, Patterned Chocolate Negg or even an Abominable Snowball Borovan to satisfy those chocolate cravings. Quest Log Based on the current daily prize pool, definitely stock up on that Zurro Chocolate Ball for your hoard. This current daily prize pool unfortunately does not contain any R102-179 items, but keep an eye out, as when the pool rotates, you may find some of the common and cheap paint brushes, which are good for Faerie Festival Donations! Most of the items in the current weekly prize pool are quite valuable and better to be sold off or kept for your collections. The Skeith Villager (TCG) for example, has a rarity of R103 but can be sold for close to 1 million NPs, you’d be better off selling the card and buying multiple R102-179s instead. Chocolate goodies for your stash include: Chocolate Cybunny Negg and Chocolate Peach. Wheel of Misfortune Step on up to the Wheel of Misfortune and take a spin every 2 hours! Will your pet forget a pesky book, or will that Baby Paint Brush you just bought from the Hidden Tower get sludged? More than likely - or maybe not, you’ll get a quality Plushie for your hoard and maybe a Monster Cake, which is brown so that must mean it’s chocolate-flavoured right? For donations, you’ll want all the Plushies except for the Headless Von Roo Plushie and if you’re lucky and win a Kougrachio Plushie, you’re better off selling that one. Cheeseroller Cheeserollers rejoice and cheese lovers bemoan, for the cheeses you roll are not just for eating. From the 300np Smoked Snorkle Cheese to the 2,400np Overgrown Cheese, these cheeses have a rarity index of R102-179, just ripe enough to donate. Cross the finish line in under 60 seconds to keep your cheese! The Quadruple Fudge Cheese is an excellent choice for us chocolate-lovers! The Void Within: Hospital Shifts, Reserve Barracks, & Mini Games The plot is back and in full swing! This means hospital shifts, and the reserve barracks are back with some new mini-games to boot. Hospital Shifts Being a good Samaritan and volunteering at your local hospital not only keeps you well-fed, but you can also get rewards! Unfortunately the hospital does not provide any chocolate goodies but maybe that Ice Cream Potion is chocolate flavoured? Focus your efforts on Act II, where you’ll put to use all that you’ve learned from “Home Surgery for Jetsams,” and hopefully acquire a Lucky Robots Foot for donating. Reserve Barracks Get a copy of “When the Void Attacks Comic Book,” so you and your pet can read up on strategies to best your opponents. What you’re after is the Darkness Potion dropped from the Voidlings, and since all that battling will make you peckish, you may as well grab some Chocolate Covered Peanuts to munch on during the fight. The best battle you could fight to obtain both the potion and chocolate is The Lost Desert Duel where you’ll face a Voidling, Void Wyrm, and a Wretched Wisp. Cosy Campfire Don’t have a Vandagyre? Use Night Vision Contacts to make scouring the woods easier and you’ll have an abundance of Pumpkin Shield for donations, and the following to pad your chocolate-filled pockets with: Coco Pumpkin, Halloween Candy Cane, Chocolate Jack-O-Lantern Chip Cookie, Ghostmallow Smore, and Pumpkin Chip Surprise! Tea Time with Tavi When you’re having a sip of tea with Tavi, she may just give you her Kyrii Explorer (TCG) card to express her gratitude! Make sure to also have some Borovan Cupcake and Triple Choco-Strawberry Cake to satisfy that chocolate craving and save some for later! Dr. Landelbrot’s Voidworks Unfortunately this mini-game does not have any R102-179 items as prizes, and the closest thing to chocolate that can be awarded is the… Dates & Figs Energy Bar?? I guess you could pretend it has chocolate in it? The best thing you could get is a Circuit Negg which you can sell for chocolate or donation items, or you could trade 2 of them in at the Neggery for a Sweetheart Negg that contains chocolatey goods. Doglefetch If you’re strapped for time, Doglefetch has a really good prize pool for Faerie Festival donations and out of the Doglefox Bread Creature and Doglefox Cookies, 1 of these is sure to have chocolate in them! So stretch your arms and get ready to play Doglefetch with the Luperus. Items that are great for donating are: Doglefox Colouring Book, Doglefox Cone, Doglefox Marker, Mutant Doglefox (TCG), Luperus Teeth, Luperus Jaw, or Super Luperus Tooth. Should you get a regular Luperus Tooth, then you can maybe save that for the Tooth Faerie since it’s only worth 1 point for donating. Lost in the Dark On your way to play Doglefetch with the Luperus, you’re bound to get lost in the dark. If you can figure your way out, you just may find a Banana and Chocolate Rock Stick, great at replenishing your energy before you play with Luperus. Unfortunately none of the other prizes are considered worthy enough to be donated to the Faerie Festival. Unfortunately the path from here involves no chocolate rewards but we press forward for those who are severely lacking for donation items. Only the truly desperate can be found in these parts or those with chocolate stashes to rival the size of the Snowagers pile of treasure. Buried Treasure Get your buckets, shovels, and maybe a Symol or 2 - it’s time for treasure hunting! You’ve only got 1 shot every 3 hours, so should you be unfortunate enough to unearth NPs, simply chuck them back in the ground and try again. What you really want are the food prizes, except the Yellow Growth, you definitely don’t want that. Should you get a Yellow Growth, immediately chuck it in the ocean and run for your life, then try again in another 3 hours. Brain Tree Quests The Brain Tree giveth while the Esophagor eateth. Why should you bother if you’re not hunting the Brain Tree trophy or avatar? Because you get a daily reward for every correct answer submitted, and that reward is GUARANTEED to give you some high-quality items for donation! Just make sure to check the market value, as some of the rewards are better kept or sold, like the Furwitch! Scratchcard Kiosks If you’re up for scaling Terror Mountain 4 times a day, you can get your hands on some scratchcards for just 600np each, keep the Terror Trove Scratchcard and Faeries Fortune Scratchcard, and scratch or sell the others. If you are truly desperate for more donation items then slather yourself in some Ghost Slime and head to the Deserted Fairgrounds. You’ll need this in order to blend in around those parts. Make sure you also notify a trusted Neofriend in advance about where you’re going so they can organize a rescue mission in case they don’t hear back from you. For just 1200nps you can buy a scratchcard every 2 hours from the Deserted Fairgrounds Kiosk, you’ll want the Festering Fortune Scratchcard or Mutating Millions Scratchcard, scratch or sell the others. Jhudora Quests Perhaps you’re a Dark Faerie crusader, maybe you’re evil, or maybe you just need more items for the Faerie Festival. Whatever the case may be, all of the rewards from Jhudora’s quests from 1-23 are great for hoarding, all except the Gnome Shroom which is R99. Any higher, and it becomes better to sell the rewards instead or the requests begin to get too expensive. Note: The rewards for Jhudora’s Quests are anticipated to be revamped in the future and a re-evaluation of the rewards will need to occur. Cheat! No, I’m not talking about cheating by gluing tomatoes or green peppers to your R101 omelettes to make them R102+. I’m talking about the card game Cheat! - the only way to “cheat” on Neopets without getting in trouble! You’ll have to play a bajillion games of Cheat! if you’re trying to farm for lots of battlecards, as each round only awards a chance of winning a battlecard. All battlecards are quality items for your donation hoard except the red Capara Battlecard. Snow Wars Maybe you’re a star Darigan Dodgeball player or maybe you just like to play in the snow. Defeat the last 2 levels of Snow Wars to win some snowballs that are perfect for Faerie Festival donations! This is great if you enjoy playing the game or if you’re going for the trophy. Otherwise, it’s an inefficient way to farm items, though the items are at least guaranteed to be awarded with each win, unlike in Cheat! Follow this guided tour across Neopia and you’ll be poised for a successful Faerie Festival without having to sacrifice any chocolates. With your mountainous piles of chocolate and donation items, nothing can stop you! Except for maybe the Pant Devil… and Team Kiko Lake…
