A Guide to a Happy Neohome by princess__neo277
--------
Is your Neohome dull and in need of a makeover? Is your Neohome sad? Many Neopians neglect their Neohome and opt to stay at the Neolodge for as long as possible before getting thrown out. Does this sound like you? Well, fear not Neopian because you are about to read an amazing guide on how to turn your drab, dull and dusty Neohome into a bright, sparking and happy Neohome! We have condensed this guide into 5 steps for easy reading, so sit back, pour yourself a hot cup of Pink Negg Tea and get ready to become a Neohome expert. Step 1: Layout The most important step: you need to have a layout in your Neohome. By layout we simply mean different rooms and areas, so your Neopets should have their own bedrooms, you should have a kitchen, a lounge, a bathroom, a garden and anything else you feel necessary for the admirable Neohome. Let’s start with the first room on the list – your Neopets bedrooms. Every Neopet needs a bedroom, it’s simply essential. Some Neopets don’t mind sharing bedrooms but if you own a Chocolate Chia and a Lupe we’d definitely recommend perhaps separate rooms, just for precaution obviously… Secondly, we move on to another essential part of a Neohome, a kitchen. Where else are you going to make homemade Tangy Twirly Fruit Soup? Your kitchen must be on the larger side to ensure room for furnishings and appliances which we’ll explain later in the article. A lounge is also a necessity in your Neohome, you and your Neopets need somewhere to sit and want Neovision and show you’re their Training School techniques. Next comes a bathroom, a happy Neohome contains at least one bathroom. If you’re going to opt for one bathroom the we recommend you have a large bathroom but if you’re planning on having 2 then you can get away with them being smaller. Lastly, a garden. A place for you and your Neopet to sunbathe and tuck into a Brain Ice Cream. We personally believe a garden is better placed behind your Neohome rather than infront. Step 2: Appliances Now we’ve got your Neohome layout of the way and you have your rooms in mind we need to think about the appliances you need. You can’t have a bedroom without a bed so you certainly can’t have a kitchen without an oven. When selecting your appliances not only do you need to ensure you’re choosing those that go with your room design, but you also need to look out for quality. We’ve listed the best appliances for your Neohome to help you out. Appliances For Your Kitchen We recommend a Tooth Faerie Oven, Green Kacheek Blender and a Flaming Toaster. Appliances For Your Lounge We recommend a Coconut Bongo Speaker but for your television any will do, after all they all look the same and only have 1 channel – Neovision which occasionally switches itself over to Sloth Station TV. We will come to cleaning appliances later on in the article. Step 3: Furnishings Now we’ve looked at appliances it’s time to look at everything else that you’ll need in your happy home. Furnishings are what makes your Neohome come together. Because you will need a wide range of furnishings in your Neohome we are going to divide this section into subsections for each area of your Neohome. Your Lounge Your Lounge is one of the more important rooms in your Neohome and probably needs to contain the most furniture. We’ve got the appliances out of the way so now we just need to expand. The first furniture item you will need is a sofa, our personal favourite is Simple Green Sofa or if you’re more adventurous then Kau Print Sofa is just as comfortable. Some Neopians also like to have a bean bag in their lounge, and there are tons to choose from. Green Bean Bag Chair is a good example because it goes nicely with Simple Green Sofa and a touch of sloth green really compliments your lounge. Every Lounge also needs a chic, classy coffee table, a snazzy shelf unit and a Skipping Harris Painting compliments any room. You may also choose to include a stylish, ritzy rug in your Neohome. Our number 1 rug is Cream Rug, it’s most fluffy. Your Kitchen A kitchen is much easier to furnish than a lounge. All you need is a large kitchen table and however many chairs you find necessary. Though we do personally recommend a sink, and a Plain White Sink does just the trick! We don’t have any preferences on kitchen furniture but Checked Kitchen items are simply stylish but if you want something a bit more elegant then why not go for a lovely Pine Finish Table? Your bedrooms How you decorate your Neopet’s bedroom depends on your Neopet’s personality. A Darigan Citadel fanatic is not going to want a Queen Fyora themed bedroom. But to make things easier we’ll list the most important furniture items for any bedroom. Firstly, you’ll need a comfortable bed per each bedroom. You’ll also need somewhere to sit but we recommend a bean bag chair or a single seater rather than a sofa, and some shelves for your Neopet to store their favourite belongings. Also not forgetting a wardrobe for your Neopet’s NC mall possessions. If you’re looking for a wardrobe on the larger side a Slorg Wardrobe is perfect and whilst it may be slimy on the outside it’s pristine on the inside and that’s all that matters! Your bathroom Last but not least, your bathroom needs 3 essential items. A bath, a sink, a mirror and if you’re a fan of smelling lovely then perhaps throw in a shelf or somewhere for you to keep that Raspberry Smelling Bath Salt. Step 4: Cleaning Don’t stop reading now, we’re nearly there! Now we have all the furnishing and appliances your Neohome needs we just need to get to cleanliness which is nothing a Buzzer Vacuum Cleaner, a Mop and Bucket and a bar of Glittery Purple Soap can’t solve. No one (except maybe Meuka but a normal Neopian ignores the door when he stops by) likes a filthy Neohome, so get scrubbing. Step 5: Final step, your Neogarden We have given your Neogarden a segment of its own. Your Neogarden needs to be pristine if you want to hold celebrations or birthday parties but if you really don’t have the time to look after your garden, then you can let it get a bit overgrown and tell everyone that you have a Haunted Woods theme going on. However, for those who do enjoy gardening and have an “illusen-thumb” we recommend moving your lawn once a week to keep it looking ravishing. We also believe you should have a table and chairs, some flowers and a couple of Chia Gnomes for decoration. Afterall, your Neogarden is the perfect place to relax, a sip some Yellow Kacheek Lemonade.
