Eau So Lovely: Neopian Perfumes for Every Season!

---Starring Chessangie the Royalgirl Draik, Chessella the Pastel Draik, Maldice the Stealthy Draik, and Christine, their owner!---

Christine: Hi! Have you ever wanted to smell nice? Is soap not doing the job for you? That’s why we will be looking at some Neopian perfumes today. I have some for all four seasons of the year!

Maldice: I suppose that some of these will be so sweet that they’re sickening. I hate sweet scents.

Ella: I love sweet scents, especially gourmand scents!

Maldice: ---shakes head--- Sweet scents are gross. I prefer spicy scents.

     Angie: I like floral scents!

Maldice: Well, that’s better than sweet scents, at least.

Christine: I like sweet and fruity scents. Anyway, without further ado, here are the perfumes:

      ---Spring---

      ---Glyme Perfume---

Christine: This rare perfume has a nice floral and fruity scent. Don’t be put off because the bottle is shaped like a Glyme.

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- It smells like a lilac, with passionfruit mixed in. I love it!

Maldice: ---sniffs perfume--- Whatever. Just another floral medley which is okay at best.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- The fruit is kind of sweet. This one isn’t bad.

Maldice: I would like a word with the marketing team. Whose idea was it to put it in a bottle shaped like a Glyme?! A literal slug!

Angie: I’m not an expert, but I hear that Glymes are actually insects. They eat flowering plants.

Maldice: An insect?! That’s even worse!

Angie: Well, not all insects are repulsive. Butterflies are pretty!

Maldice: Butterflies?! Yuck! What’s next, a bottle full of hearts and sparkles?

Ella: I would love that, actually!

      ---Illusen Strawberry Perfume---

Christine: You can smell as juicy as a strawberry while wearing this perfume. I love strawberry scents!

Maldice: Fruity scents are just an extension of sweet scents. No thank you!

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- Not bad, but I prefer floral scents.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- I like this one quite a bit.

Maldice: I don’t know who would want to smell like the stall at Brightvale Fruits.

Christine: This smells BETTER than the stall at Brightvale Fruits.

     Ella: I agree!

Christine: Anyway, the bottle is beautiful, and it features an atomizer shaped like a strawberry, which is creative, to say the least.

Angie: I just noticed that. How fun!

      ---Summer---

      ---Cucumber Melon Perfume---

Christine: This perfume smells like... well, cucumbers and melons. The scent is alright, if you ask me. The bottle is pretty boring, though. I am more likely to try a perfume if it has a pretty bottle!

Maldice: ---sniffs perfume--- Hey, this is better than the other ones we’ve tried so far.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- Straight cucumber smell, if you ask me. Boring!

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- I smell some melons... Okay, and not much better than that. Also, the bottle looks like a nail polish bottle!

Ella: At least it doesn’t SMELL like nail polish. I hate toxic fumes!

Maldice: No one likes the smell of nail polish. It isn’t news to me that you, too, hate the fumes...

      ---Sunshine Perfume---

Christine: This perfume is both sweet and floral, which I love.

Maldice: Well, then, I’ll pass on this one.

Angie: Ooh, let me try! ---sniffs perfume--- Wonderful! This perfume is nice and floral.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- I can smell the sweet scent somewhat, so it’s nice, I suppose.

Christine: The bottle is pretty, and it has an orange atomizer, which is a lively colour, to say the least.

Ella: You’d expect a perfume called “Sunshine Perfume” to contain notes of fruit or citrus, reminding you of the beach, but this perfume contains neither. I wish I could ask the creator about that...

Angie: Well, it’s a pretty scent, nonetheless.

      ---Fall---

      ---Ghostly Bori Perfume---

Christine: This bottle is shaped just like a Bori, and it has a ghostly glow. Perfect for Halloween!

Maldice: ---sniffs perfume--- Wonderful! Nice and spicy, with none of the sweet notes.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- BLEAURGH!!! How could you enjoy this, Maldice?!

Maldice: How could you enjoy sweet scents?!

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- Not a fan. No floral notes. Just a spicy and earthy mess.

Christine: ---sniffs perfume--- Yuck, I can’t stand this. Spicy scents can be good, but this one just isn’t!

Maldice: All of you must be noseblind. This perfume is perfect!

     Ella: Yeah, perfectly disgusting!

      ---Miss Prissy Kacheek Halloween Perfume---

Christine: This perfume is quite rare. If you can find it, it’s worth a try.

Maldice: ---sniffs perfume--- It’s spicy, but it also, unfortunately, has sweet notes. The Ghostly Bori Perfume is MUCH BETTER.

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- Yuck! No floral notes.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- I like the sweet notes, but I can’t stand the spicy notes. Up for sale it goes.

Christine: I find it interesting that it’s based on both girly and Halloween themes.

Maldice: Yuck. It even has a heart on it if you look closely. Whose grand idea was this?!

Angie: With that scent, only a bottle collector would want it.

     Ella: Agreed!

      ---Winter---

      ---Cooler Than You Perfume---

Christine: This perfume has a sweet, powdery scent.

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- Nice! I really like this one. It smells like sugar. Perfect for winter!

Maldice: If it’s sugary, then I will definitely pass.

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- It’s okay. No floral notes at all.

Christine: I find it interesting that the bottle is always cool to the touch... I wonder why that is?

Maldice: It’s very possible with the correct magical spell, or a helping of magical faerie dust.

Ella: Interesting! I see that the liquid has a blue tint, which suits it very well.

Christine: I agree. Be sure to add this one to your collection.

     Maldice: No way!

      ---Eau de Bruce Cologne---

Christine: This perfume will make you smell like Terror Mountain all day long!

Ella: ---sniffs perfume--- Boring! It just smells fresh, like a snowy day.

Maldice: ---sniffs perfume--- Better than the previous concoction. It’s tolerable. Fresh, not sweet!

Angie: ---sniffs perfume--- The scent is weak. I feel like there’s nothing there!

Christine: Regardless of anyone’s opinion on the scent, the bottle is cute, featuring a bow as worn by the Bruces in Happy Valley.

Angie: True... I guess a bottle collector might buy it for that reason.

      ---Conclusion---

Christine: So, which perfume was everyone’s favourite?

Ella: Definitely the Cooler than You Perfume. Nice and sugary!

Maldice: I liked the Ghostly Bori Perfume. It’s beyond me why you all don’t like it.

Angie: I liked the Sunshine Perfume. Nice and floral!

Christine: Well, in Neopia, there’s a perfume for every season and occasion. Until next time, dear readers!
