 A Game of Faerie Chess
Fyora, in the head seat at the long table, sat back against the chair. Light from the outside poured in through the atrium windows of the chamber, bathing her council in a warm yellow glow. Twelve faeries—two of each kind—were in attendance. It seemed every few years this topic arose. Every time new council members were brought in, new arguments for and against Illusen came up. As usual, Fyora remained silent and listened to her trusted advisors give their opinions—valid they all were.

 Post-Pink Blues
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be Pink. I'd see people posting on the neoboards with their lovely pink avatar and I would turn green with envy. Occasionally I'd even visit the Kadoatery but every time I did I'd leave the Kadoatery feeling defeated and as sad as the unfed kads. A few years passed, then one morning I woke up feeling determined.

No, no, you're saying it wrong! It's further back in your mouth. Now make a trill back there. No, no, no – it's like a rolled 'r', but more of a rolled 'g'. Yes, I think you got it! Now try and put that sound back into the word “Ugga”... Nope, that wasn't right either. Never mind, keep trying!
