Wheels of Neopia - Which Wheel Will You Spin?

by melissa12xx

--------

Hello and welcome, in this article I will be discussing the famous Neopian game wheels, which you will find all over the map in most of the worlds of Neopia! When I first started playing on the site way back in time, I remember having so much fun spinning the wheels (though some can be better than others…). I’m here to go through each one and give you more information so you will know exactly what to expect! Don’t be fooled, they do require a fee–some small and some big–but you do have the opportunity to get some really good prizes... some of the time. Have fun spinning and enjoy :)

     The Wheel of Extravagance

     Location: City of Qasala

This wheel will literally steal so many of your Neopoints–it is hands down the most expensive wheel in Neopia (but so fun!). You can win some top prizes that are worth more than what you paid, but on the other hand, you can also lose a lot. If you’re going for the avatar, be prepared to spend a lot of NP daily and have some gains and losses. Some people get the avatar quickly, and some spend a fortune!

Prizes: Avatar, Paint Brushes, a loss of NP, gained Pet stats, a stamp, some items, a background and much more.

     Cost: 100,000 NP

Spin frequency: Once every 24 hours.

     Avatars: 1

     The Wheel of Knowledge

     Location: Brightvale

This wheel is the more expensive one of them all, however, you can obtain some good prizes. Also, this is King Hagan’s wheel!

Prizes: There’s a possibility to win a free spin, a book to read to your Pet, a scroll, an avatar, some wisdom from King Hagan and some helpful advice related to the site. You can also win healing and job coupons and much more!

     Cost: 500 NP

Spin frequency: One go every 24 hours

     Avatars: 1

     The Wheel of Excitement

     Location: Faerieland

This wheel is super fun and worth a go. It’s probably one of the more popular wheels; it’s very alluring, and you will just want to give it a spin!

Prizes: The wheel can hurt your Pet and/or give it a disease, reward an avatar, send the Pant Devil after you to steal one of your items, heal you, give you a Bottled Faerie, NP, a secret item, or … “?”. “?” is probably the most frustrating, because it usually turns out to be a low number of Neopoints, meaning you lose money overall.

     Cost: 500 NP

Spin frequency: Once every 2 hours

     Avatars: 1

     The Wheel of Misfortune

Location: The Deserted Fairground at the Haunted Woods.

This wheel tends to be bad, and you never know what you will take home with you (which is why it’s called the “Wheel of Misfortune”). Most prizes are bad.

Prizes: This wheel can give you an avatar, Petpets, a random item (usually it’s a worthless plushie), Neopoints, a visit from the Pant Devil (he’ll take away an item), an illness for your Pet, Neopoints taken away, one of your items turned into sludge, or a book being unread by your Pet.

     Cost: 150 NP

Spin frequency: Once every 2 hours

     Avatars: 1

     The Wheel of Mediocrity

     Location: The Tyrannian Jungle

This wheel is one of the cheapest. It is, in fact, the least expensive to play, but it also gives out the worst prizes. Not many visit it as often as the Wheel of Excitement, but the avatar is still really nice.

Prizes: This wheel gives out the cheapest prizes. It mostly hurts your Neopet, but can also give you Neopoints (not much of a profit; the highest I’ve gotten is 150 NP), the jackpot, some food, and more.

     Cost: 100 NP

Spin frequency: Once every 40 minutes

     The Wheel of Monotony

     Location: The Tyrannian Plateau

This wheel is one of the most superb wheels; it can give out a Paint Brush, but takes many attempts. It also takes FOREVER to finish spinning. I am NOT kidding; it usually spins for more than two hours…

Prizes: As I said, you can win a Tyrannian Paint Brush, but I’ve been spinning months at a time and have only ever won it once. You can also win a Petpet Paint Brush, a Petpet, miscellaneous items (toy, furniture, book, etc), a free lottery ticket, NP, a blessing from a faerie, a Codestone, gourmet food, weaponry and armour, a trip to the beast's lair, and more (even a avatar).

     Cost: 150 NP

Spin frequency: Once every 24 hours

     Avatars: 1

     The Wheel of Celebration:

This wheel was only here for a short period of time in 2024 around November, and is no longer available. It was to celebrate Neopets' 25th anniversary. Most people spun this wheel to obtain the avatar. Luckily, I managed to get it before it was retired. It was free to spin and could be spun twice a day which was really good.

You could win a Paint Brush, avatar, NC, a weapon, a stamp, NP, retired items, books, Pet stat increases, gourmet food and much much more. Sad to see it go, but it was enjoyable while it lasted! I know many Neopians had fun on this one while it lasted, I believe it was spinable for a few weeks around November.

That concludes this article! I hope you can give all the wheels a go and win some fantastic prizes. I’m sure you will have some wins and some losses in the fantastic world of Neopia. I’m sure you will decide which wheel is your favourite, and on your Neopets journey, you will more than likely spin these wheels as part of your dailies. The fun doesn’t stop, and I hope you stumble upon all these different wheels. They will definitely keep you busy and occupied; I think even your Pets will enjoy them. That’s it for now, have fun on your Neopian wheel journey! Enjoy, folks! :)
