Neopian Avatar Guide - Can You Collect Them All?

     1. Game Avatars - self explanatory game avatars are just that earned by playing games in Neopia. Some are easier or harder than others and can take some time but don’t give up. There are also many game guides which can help you. I still have a few game avatars left to collect, mainly the ones I find the most difficult. This is definitely a category you should know about! I would rate it a little hard due to some games being quite difficult such as ice cream machine and typing terror (two I both still need)

     2. Clickable Avatars - These are the most easy ones to get. You usually just click a link to a specific page and it grants you the avatar. Easy for beginner avatar collectors and good to get these out of the way, probably the least popular.

     3. Stamp Avatars- This is probably one of the more difficult categories as it can become super expensive very fast and some stamps are even so difficult to get hold of. This is definitely a category for the dedicated and serious avatar collectors! These avatars are looked at more highly due to how hard they can be to obtain.

     4. Pet/Petpet Avatars - This category requires having a certain Pet or Petpet to obtain these avatars, sometimes kind Neopians can lend you a Pet or Pet with a Petpet attached on the Neo boards. Some require Petpets being a certain age. This is a medium difficulty category. Don’t be shy to try for these ones!

     5. Items- This category requires you to have a certain item to obtain the avatars which can be difficult or not depending on the value of the item, don’t shy away from this category you can do it! I would rate this a fairly neutral category, not too easy not too hard.

     6. Battledome- Says it all, this requires you to fight with your Pet in the battledome to obtain a certain avatar can be easy or difficult totally depends but worth a shot! Some challengers also require you to obtain them first. This will require you to train up your Neopet which can be costly as well and also take some time to do, but if you’re an avatar collector it will be worth it! :)

     7. Retired- Retired avatars.. I have a love hate relationship with this category as once they are gone they aren’t coming back so if you’re lucky enough to obtain a retired avatar go you! These are seen as quite valuable in the avatar collector community because you only get one chance to really get these.

     8. Annually Available- Some avatars you can only get on certain dates each year so just make sure to note it in your calendar! There are a few of these I believe I have all of the ones in this category.

     9. Other- This category is other and it just means it doesn’t fit into any of the other categories so it could literally be anything!

     10. Defaults- Lastly defaults I find these quite boring, everyone has these on their list and you don’t need to do anything to get these and they are seen as less popular in the avatar collector community.

     Just a quick mention to other collectible categories on the site. These are also quite popular aswell and good for account improvement purposes.

     Stamps - There are so many stamps to collect and so many avatars you can obtain from this category, I’m on a mission to get them all!

     Neodeck cards- Neodeck cards are also a collectible item category so why not start collecting these as well? I haven’t ventured much here but I think I will in the future.

     Books- All Pets love to read. Why not make your Pet super smart? You can also get a trophy from having a Pet in the high score board of reading the most books! I do love reading my Pet lots of books it can also get quite expensive but worth it!

     Trophies- Not only do these look great on your user lookup you can achieve gold, silver or bronze mainly obtained from getting high scores in the games room, definitely worth doing for account improvement purposes. The more trophies the better and it’s best to do them at the end or start of the month as this is when it’s the easiest!

I’m currently working on a lot of stamp avatars currently sitting at 353 avatars in total which is not bad. One day I would love to get into the top collectors score board. Who knows?
