Girls' Night Out

A soft drizzle of snow fell, settling along with the evening over Happy Valley. The rink came alive with various skaters, the roads were full of chatty and busy shoppers, and various cafés and taverns opened their doors for locals and tourists alike.

They Grey Year - An Interview with Whistles

Altador Cup: The Grey Year The 2025 Altador Cup will forever go down as “The Grey Year” due to the disruptions caused by Vira and her henchmen in Altador. We were able to catch up with each of the teams to get a small update from the teams and players; however, notably missing from the interviews were a few familiar faces. We caught up with everyone’s favourite referee to get an update from the iconic Whistles to see what he has been up to in this offseason and get his take on The Grey Year. Interviewer: It is great to see you again, Whistles. This year was certainly a little different for the Altador Cup. How were things for you this year? Whistles: Different certainly is an understatement. As many know, I fell ill with the Grey Curse, which contributed to the Neopian Yooyuball League’s decision to forgo the typical tournament this year. Not feeling well enough to help referee the matches certainly has made my year feel off as a result. I think I have been able to referee each year since the beginning of the Cup, and so it feels almost surreal that I didn’t do that this year. Interviewer: Speaking of the Grey Curse you’ve been pretty open about your health struggles with The Grey Curse. How have you been doing with your recovery? Whistles: I take things day by day. I’ve seen a fair bit of improvement over the last couple of months. While I still do feel the residual grey often, I don’t find myself crying as much, which is a huge improvement from previously. Hovri has been a great support through all of it. He had a rough go of things after graduating from Brightvale...
