Quote of the Week
The stone beneath one of the tiny crevices Brynn was using as a foothold crumbled beneath her weight, throwing her off balance; her hands began to slip with her shifting weight as she scrabbled for another purchase; losing grip, she gave in to gravity and pushed off the wall to avoid hitting other outcrops or ledges as she fell.
The Neopian Festivities Guide
There’s always something going on in Neopia, and some of the best events are only available to those in the know – until now. Check out some of the lesser known, but still super fun - Neopian Events below! Month of Eating Coastal Line Celebration (Mystery Island, Krawk Island) With less than a week separating their nationally-recognized days, three species of Neopets - Krawks, Lutaris, and Kougras - celebrate in a 3-day festival starting on the 18th. Day One starts on Krawk Island. Warf Wharf is decked in decorations, the pirates put on their finest (least tattered) clothing, and Kougras and Lutaris visit, combining festive friendship with all sorts of dice games. The Food Club has special dishes during these three days, a fusion cuisine from all three Islands, for the competitors to scarf down indiscriminately. Day Two moves to Mystery Island, where it’s much more active – volleyball, surfing, hikes on Techo Mountain – and the popular tin of olives roll. Elite athletes prepare for the triathlon that afternoon. |
A Collector’s Guide to Bobbleheads
Greetings, Neopians! If you think you’ve collected all the collectables there are to collect in Neopia, have a maxed out bank account burning a hole in your pocket, a shopping addiction, and/or are really impulsive, have we got just the thing for you: bobbleheads! In this guide, we’ll show you all the best heads that have ever bobbled.
Bobble, Bobble, Boil and Trouble
For some extra wicked bobble goodness, check out our first carefully curated category, featuring bobbles with more than one head! Do they bobble in synchronicity or at varying speeds, resulting in pure chaos and overstimulation? Probably the latter, which fits the personality of these mysterious friends, like the Bython and Luperus (Note: sticks for friendship not included). Perhaps you're looking for some more vicious opponents, like Scordrax or some Snowbeasts? Or maybe an homage to your most favourite pet, the Mutant Hissi? Whatever you're searching for, we can guarantee these are at least twice the fun! |
 | How to Create the Perfect Earth Faerie Picnic
With the month of relaxing fast approaching, it's time to once again, enjoy those peaceful strolls through Faerieland. Stretching one's legs does wonders for working up a healthy appetite, so I suggest packing the perfect picnic, Illusen style, to thoroughly enjoy a wondrous walk through the glade.
First things first! No seasoned wanderer can tackle the Faerieland countryside without a picnic basket, a flask, and of course, a banquet fit for an Earth Faerie.
Below I have provided, the must-have essentials for your picnic:
>
Illusen Flask – "This flask will keep the contents toasty warm for hours and hours."
As well as providing everlasting warmth, it also weighs just 1 lb, so it won't feel like a Battledome exercise requiring Skeith-like strength whilst carrying it! The flask sports a perfectly sized cup-come-lid, ideal for sipping soothing teas or warm chocolate as you wander. A gentle swirl of steam rising into the crisp Faerieland air? Simply magical. |

"A Chocolate Meltdown" by weiyannn As the Month of Eating neared its end in Neopia, the cool spring time breeze began to give way to the warm summer air. Before the heat got too unbearable, Ruth the Yellow Chia thought she could seize her chance for a last spring picnic. She woke up early that morning with the sun shining comfortably through the windows. “Yup, today’s the perfect day for a picnic!” She jumped out of bed and stretched out the tension in her body. “Rise and shine, Mars! We’re going to the park today! For a picnic, and a walk!” Mars, her Chocolate Noil, stirred from his Petpet bed in the corner of the room. At the sound of the word ‘walk’, Mars’ ears perked up. That was always his favourite word. He blinked up at Ruth, and stretched his front paws out with a big yawn. His mane of icing shook vigorously as Mars shook away the sleepiness. As he shook his body to get energized for the day, the thick mane of icing bobbed with the movement. “Mars! You’re gonna get sprinkles everywhere again!” Ruth bent down to pick up some rainbow sprinkles that came loose from Mars’ icing mane and stuck them back on. Who knew that a Chocolate Petpet could be so messy! Actually, she should have known. She had an uncle who got zapped to a Chocolate Chia for a while and he used to drip chocolate syrup all over Grandma’s furniture. The family did NOT want to sit next to him during their dinner.

"The Mystery at Usukiland" by faeriequeenoffire Polly hated waiting in line, especially when it came to a sale. The later she showed up to Usukiland, the less likely it was that she’d find a Paranormal Time Detective Usuki Doll left. The doll wasn’t a new release, but every week that she showed up during a stock refresh it had always sold out before she got to the store. She hoped that today would be different, but considering that the doll would be 15% off – and that she had slept through her three alarms – she didn’t have a lot of hope.
Evie Dance, the Paranormal Time Detective (PTD for short), was TV’s hottest crime fighter. No matter where or when the crime happened – or will happen – she showed up to save the day. Polly wanted to be just like her – minus the time machine – and was even planning on becoming a police officer. Right now, though, she really wanted this specific Usuki Doll as a reminder to always be on the lookout and to always fight for what’s right.
When Polly got to Usukiland, there wasn’t a single line outside and the door was propped open with a green hand truck. She knew the shopkeeper Usulla hated breezes, but thought nothing of it since it was a hot day today. Polly headed for the door, noticing a truck idling outside the store. A Mystery Island Skeith unloaded some unmarked boxes and took them to the loading dock beside the store. She hoped there were a few extra orders of the PTD Usuki Doll in there. |
"Boys' Night Out" by precious_katuch14 Night had fallen on Faerie City, Kreludor illuminating the shattered windows, burnt out lanterns, and rubble still piled up on the streets and curbs. Only a few Faerielanders had emerged cautiously from their houses and shops to clean up the messes and watch for the monsters and minions of Terask that still lurked within the city, usually not without arms ranging from kitchen knives or larger, more ornate staves, spears and swords. Close to the Faerie City Inn, a crash could be heard, and a yell. An air faerie in front of Faerie City Inn immediately shooed an old Grundo and his Kougra companion inside. “It’s the Dark General!” she cried. “B-Best leave that one to the experts!” a faerie Lenny added, shielding their face with a broom and backing up against a nearby house. “Ohhh, I thought I’d get some sweeping done tonight!” “So what if you defeated the Faerie Thief?” a Red Grarrl in a black bemedalled uniform roared, brandishing his sabre. “King Terask still has us! Long live the king!” He rushed forward, clashing blades with a White Blumaroo in gold-washed armour. “And Queen Fyora still has us!” A Red Techo clad in light chain armour blasted a Bionic Cybunny off their feet and into the nearest alley with a noisy clatter. Then the Techo trained his staff at the Blumaroo, whispering an incantation and creating a glowing beam like moonlight sprinkled with pinpricks of stars. |
