Celebrating Neopets’ Birthday with Cupcakes!

    Christine: Welcome! Coming up is Neopets’ twenty-sixth birthday. Neopia has been around for quite some time!

Sellescha: I know, right? Much longer than I have been alive.

Lerlifia: Now you’re making me feel old...

Christine: Anyway, for Neopets’ birthday, many Neopets will be eating cake this season. A giant cake may be too much food for one sitting, which is why I have gathered several interesting cupcakes for us to try. They consist of smaller portion sizes, of course!

Sellescha: Great! I just hope that Lerli and Lervi won’t hog them all...

Lervilia: We deserve a treat, too!

Lerlifia: Agreed!

Christine: Anyway, without further ado, here are the cupcakes:

    ---Borovan Cupcake---

    Christine: The holidays are coming up, so this delicious cupcake is perfect. Furthermore, it can be purchased for pocket change off the Shop Wizard, since it is a prize from Tea Time with Tavi.

Sellescha: Meh, borovan is made of chocolate and asparagus. I don’t think that they go together well...

Lerlifia: They don’t actually mix the chocolate and asparagus TOGETHER, dummy. That would be disgusting!

Sellescha: That’s not very nice...

Lervilia: As a gourmand, I’m ready to try something new. ---eats half of the Borovan Cupcake--- I think it would be better without asparagus on top, but that’s just me.

Lerlifia: Then it wouldn’t be borovan, smart one! ---eats the other half of the cupcake--- Delicious!

Sellescha: Whatever floats your boat, I guess...

    ---Cocojuice Cupcake---

    Christine: This is one colourful cupcake!

Sellescha: I know, right? This is one I would actually like to try.

Lerlifia: Well, too bad. ---snatches the cupcake and eats half of it--- This is so yummy! It tastes like tropical fruits and coconuts along with sugar.

Sellescha: Hey, let me try some!

Lervilia: In your dreams. ---eats the other half--- This is the most delicious food I have ever eaten! The best part is that Sellescha didn’t get any!

Sellescha: ---sigh--- I am sick and tired of being bullied!

Christine: To be fair, the next cupcake will go entirely to Sellescha.

Sellescha: Thank you...

Lerlifia: Not fair! I wanted to try each one...

Lervilia: Agreed!

Christine: Well, maybe you should share next time.

    ---Cupcake with Rainbow Frosting---

    Christine: The cake is made of chocolate, in case you were wondering.

Sellescha: Well, this one’s for me! ---eats cupcake--- Delicious! It even has a chocolate filling.

Christine: What does the frosting taste like?

Sellescha: Despite being many different colours, it just tastes like vanilla.

Lerlifia: If only I could try...

Lervilia: Agreed!

Sellescha: Furthermore, the sprinkles are nice and crunchy.

Lerlifia: Don’t rub it in, now!

Lervilia: Agreed! You wouldn’t like it if I pulled that braid, would you?!

Sellescha: Now you’re threatening me... over a cupcake! Please stop!

Christine: Do NOT pull her braid, Lervilia. I’m warning you.

Lerlifia: She’s just being cheeky!

Christine: Nevertheless, such unkind words are not welcome in our household. Do better.

    ---Fire Faerie Cupcake---

    Christine: This cupcake is light, fluffy, and sweet. However, be warned that it is also spicy.

Sellescha: I don’t like spicy food. I’ll leave this one alone.

Lerlifia: Then this cupcake is MINE! ---wolfs down cupcake--- Urk... Maybe a bit too spicy.

Lervilia: I’ll take your word for it, then.

Lerlifia: Does anyone have some water?!

Lervilia: Be quiet, you wimp.

Christine: There’s milk in the fridge.

Lerlifia: ---gulps down a whole jug of milk--- Milk has never tasted so good!

Sellescha: Hey! That Kau Kau Farm Organic Bottled Milk was mine!

Lerlifia: Like I care. It’s in MY belly now!

Sellescha: ---frowns---

Lervilia: When will you stop with your obsession with “organic” and “vegetarian” foods?!

Sellescha: It’s up to me what I eat!

Lerlifia: At any rate, my mouth feels better!

    ---Peanut Mynci Day Cupcake---

    Christine: Don’t forget to take the peanut on top and crack it out of its shell.

Lerlifia: I’m not a dummy! ---cracks the peanut out and throws it at Christine---

Christine: Pick that off the floor and throw it away.

Lerlifia: Make me! ---stomps on it---

Lervilia: ---snatches cupcake and eats the whole thing--- Delicious! So sweet and peanut-flavoured.

Sellescha: Too bad I’m allergic...

Lerlifia: I would have liked a bite!

Lervilia: Sorry, it’s too good to share! It even has a peanut butter filling!

Lerlifia: No fair!

Sellescha: At least you’re not allergic like me...

    ---Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cupcake---

    Christine: The Month of Collecting may be over, but you can enjoy this cupcake any time of year! It’s a prize from Cosy Campfire Collection, or you can find it for pocket change on the Shop Wizard.

Sellescha: I will try it. ---eats part of the cupcake--- The pumpkin and the frosting are delicious and sweet, but the smell of the nutmeg hurts my nose.

Lervilia: Stop being a wimp. What did you expect?! ---eats the rest of the cupcake--- Very tasty!

Lerlifia: Given that I’m still recovering from the Fire Faerie Cupcake, you two can have that one.

Sellescha: It would be perfect without nutmeg.

Lervilia: I think it’s perfect already!

Christine: Maybe less nutmeg would be tolerable, as a lot of pumpkin-themed baked goods contain the ingredient.

    ---Starry Cupcake---

    Christine: This beautiful cupcake used to be rare, but since it was given out by the Wheel of Starlight, it’s affordable. I wonder what it tastes like?

Lerlifia: Time to find out. ---eats part of the cupcake--- They put way too much frosting on this. I can barely taste the cupcake!

Lervilia: ---eats the rest of the cupcake--- Yes, there is a lot of frosting, but I love the blueberry flavour.

Christine: Ick... Blueberries... You two can have it, then.

Sellescha: Hey, what about me?

Lerlifia: ---sticks her bright blue tongue out---

Lervilia: ---smirks---

Lerlifia: It even has blueberry filling... Barely any cupcake at all!

Sellescha: At least you got to eat some of it, unlike me...

    ---Conclusion---

    Christine: So, which cupcake was everyone’s favourite?

Lerlifia: Probably the Peanut Mynci Day Cupcake. Too bad that Sellescha can’t have any!

Sellescha: ---frowns---

Lervilia: I liked the Cocojuice Cupcake. Very fruity!

Sellescha: Probably the Cupcake with Rainbow Frosting. So colourful and tasty!
