The Yurble Farmer

by tatyanne

--------

Have you met the Yurble farmer Who lives just north of Meridell? If you visit him at Meri Acres, He will have many stories to tell.

He was used to a quiet life Peacefully tending to his farm, Until one fateful day His beautiful veggies came to harm.

A Slorg was munching on his produce; Then came another, and yet another! There were so many Slorgs; His farm was utterly smothered.

The Yurble farmer had worked so hard To keep his fruits and veggies strong. How dare these pests show them no regard, Why had the Slorgs come along?

The Yurble had to save his crops, So he took out his Slorgeriser X4. With endless balls of Slorg-B-Gone, The Slorgs soon were no more.

Alas, they returned the very next day To nosh on the juicy fruits. They flashed the Yurble a wide grin, As they slithered away with their loot.

Out came the Slorgeriser X4 again; But then the laser sadly failed! The Slorgs overran the farm, As the Yurble sorrowfully wailed.

The Slorgs came in colours pale and bright; They were red, green, black and brown. The Yurble had to aim just right; With concentration, he moved the laser around.

Such was the life of the Yurble farmer– Not as peaceful as he wished it to be. Soon, he came to improve his skills, And his aim improved tremendously.

Every day, it was a challenge To save his precious crops. With great resolve, the Yurble knew The Slorgs just had to be stopped!
