Petpet Familiar, Totem or Spirit? You may have heard about Spirit Petpets, maybe not with those terms. Maybe you've heard of Petpet Totem or Spirit Petpet. The names used usually depend on land culture. Mystery Island and Lutari Island call them Petpet Totems, Maraqua and Krawk Island Spirit Petpets, while other lands call them Familiars, with a main use of the term coming from Meridell and Brightvale. Familiars' roles Whatever you call them, Petpet Familiars are spiritual guides or mentors. Most often, they are Ghost Petpets, but they can sometimes take other colours like Dimensional, Cloud or even Water and Woodland. They're unique to any Neopian and take their roles by bringing messages, teaching lessons, helping in magical practice or even assisting in communicating with your ghost friends. How to meet your guide There are multiple methods and techniques to find our Petpet guide. The main ones are following your intuition by reading omens, through dreamwork or meditation. You can also cast an invocation circle and practice a ritual at your own risk, so you better use all protection artifacts in hand before. Invocation ritual through meditation Here is a safe-to-use ritual offered by yours truly: Gladia Switch. This one is safe to use and doesn't carry much risk, but keep your protection up to be sure. Find a quiet and cosy place, sit down and close your eyes before using this meditation guide: Take a deep breath and inhale slowly. Feel the air filling your lungs and imagine it as a soft light. This light is warm and appeasing. It flows through your veins, slowly. It's comforting and relaxing. You can feel it through every part of your body. Your shoulders grow heavier as it travels down your arms and through your fingers. Then it reaches your belly, your legs, warming your knees, your ankles and your feet. You can now see a light in the dark. As you follow it, you come closer to your inner world. You move closer and closer to the light, feeling its warmth and comfort. You have no fear, no anger. You're safe and at peace. Look around you and follow all your senses. Trust your nose and ears. What do you smell? What do you hear? What do you feel? What do you see? Now meet: your spirit guide.
