Fine New Prizes This Illusen Day!

      Christine: Hi! The prizes for both Illusen’s Glade and Jhudora’s Bluff were updated last year. If you successfully complete quests, you may receive some new prizes!

     Sellescha: I would never do a quest for Jhudora. She’s MEAN!!!

     Christine: Well, for the Illusen/Green-themed issue of the Neopian Times, we will be examining some of the more interesting items from Illusen’s new prize pool.

     Sellescha: Good... I could never help someone as wicked as Jhudora.

     Lerlifia: I hope that there are some yummy foods for us to try!

     Lervilia: Agreed!

     Christine: Fortunately, there are some foods in the pool. Without further ado, here are the items:

      ---Illusen Iced Matcha---

      Christine: This tea was handmade by Illusen herself!

     Lerlifia: Hopefully it’s nice and cold! It even has an edible flower on top. ---eats flower--- Not bad.

     Lervilia: I’ll take your word for it... I don’t eat flowers.

     Lerlifia: ---drinks half of the tea--- This tea is very refreshing! I can really taste the matcha.

     Lervilia: ---grabs the tea and drinks the rest--- Meh, I think that the matcha taste is too strong.

     Sellescha: Hey, what about me?

     Lerlifia: Too bad, so sad. That tea was for us.

     Sellescha: ---frowns---

     Christine: Next time, please share with Sellescha, you two!

     Lervilia: Don’t worry, Sellescha. It wasn’t that good anyway...

     ---Illusens Hanging Plants---

      Christine: This wearable is Illusen’s way of showing off her plant-caring abilities.

     Sellescha: Those plants look very well-nourished. I wouldn’t mind using them as part of my customisation.

     Lerlifia: Whatever. They look like weeds in jars.

     Lervilia: If only we could turn them into some kind of gourmet food...

     Lerlifia: A Freshly Cut Grass Slushie, maybe?

      Lervilia: Unfortunately, no. I hear that the recipe for that food is top secret!

     Sellescha: I think that the plants are far too pretty to reduce into a slushie, which you two surely won’t share with me.

      ---Woodland Wherfy---

      Christine: If you don’t have a Petpet yet, then this little critter would be perfect! Note that he can’t be obtained by using a Woodland Petpet Paint Brush. You have to either complete Illusen’s 11th quest or buy him from someone who has completed the quest.

     Sellescha: Well, all of us already have Petpets, but I wish I could adopt a second!

     Lerlifia: You’d be the crazy Kadoatie lady on the block if you could. You’d have, like, twenty Petpets.

     Lervilia: Some of Neopia’s Neopet owners are crazy Aisha ladies, with over 80 pets! I find that incredible.

     Christine: Anyway, the Woodland Wherfy features antlers, brown flowers, and leafy wings. He even smells like a forest!

     Lerlifia: Just as I smell like chocolate, and Lervilia smells like candy. Sellescha smells like dung!

     Sellescha: I do NOT!

     Lervilia: *snickers*

     Christine: Sellescha does NOT smell like dung, Lerlifia. Please be nice.

     Sellescha: I just took a bath yesterday...

     Christine: Anyway, the Woodland Wherfy is a very fun forest-themed friend.

      ---Cloak of the Glade---

      Christine: This beautiful cape features leaves in many different shades!

     Sellescha: Are the leaves real?

     Lerlifia: Of course they are, dummy!

     Sellescha: Then why don’t they wither?

     Lervilia: I think that Illusen enchanted the cape with a spell so that the leaves never dry up.

     Christine: Like the Woodland Wherfy, the Cloak of the Glade also smells like a forest!

     Sellescha: Illusen ought to create a forest-themed perfume and give it out as a reward.

     Lervilia: Nah, I prefer sweeter scents.

     Lerlifia: Agreed!

     Christine: At any rate, I think that most Neopets who are able to wear this cape will enjoy it.

      ---Illusens Floral Cookies---

      Christine: Interestingly enough, each cookie has a different pattern.

     Sellescha: Good thing that there are enough cookies for everyone! ---eats a cookie--- Nice and sweet! I love the crunchy icing.

     Lerlifia: Too bad these cookies don’t count for Gourmet Club, but I’ll try one anyway. ---eats a cookie--- Delicious! They taste just like vanilla.

     Lervilia: ---eats a cookie--- Too sweet, if you ask me.

     Christine: ---eats a cookie--- I love sugar cookies, so these are great! Anyway, time to put the rest of the cookies away.

     Lerlifia: The rest of them are MINE! I let you have one! ---devours the rest of the cookies---

     Sellescha: ---sighs---

     Lerlifia: Hey, you are lucky you got one.

      ---Illusens Staff Handheld---

      Christine: This wearable may look just like the legendary Illusens Staff, but this stick has no magical power at all. It’s just a stage prop.

     Lerlifia: LAME!!!

     Sellescha: Hey, it still looks cool! Perfect for pretend Battledome matches.

     Lervilia: You know what the best part is? You can buy the actual weapon from another user for a lower price than whatever this silly prop would cost. You can’t make this stuff up.

     Sellescha: Well, I don’t trust either of you with Battledome weapons, so this prop will have to do.

     Lerlifia: ---scowls---

     Christine: This is what you get, Lerlifia. I wouldn’t trust you with Illusens Staff, either.

     Sellescha: Besides, Illusen would not want her staff used for whatever mischief you have in mind...

     Christine: Very true!

      ---Illusens Coin---

      Christine: This coin seems to have the smell of earth. It can be placed in your album if you are fortunate enough to acquire one!

     Sellescha: It’s beautiful! ---holds the coin---

     Lervi: Meh, that thing is made of CLAY. That’s why it smells like earth. How pathetic!

     Lerli: Sellescha can’t have nice things! I’m going to SMASH it!

      ---Lerli tries to swipe the coin out of Sellescha’s hand, but she manages to dodge.---

      Sellescha: Don’t you DARE destroy this, you bully! Illusen gave it to me herself!

     Lerli: I don’t care!

     Christine: Well, it’s worth a ton of Neopoints, so if she ever chooses to sell it, maybe she’ll share the Neopoints with you.

     Lerli: Well, I would love something nice.

     Sellescha: I only share with KIND Neopians! I’m not selling it anyway, since it was a gift.

      ---Illusens Living Sword---

      Christine: This valuable sword is worth quite a lot of Neopoints, and similar to the much more affordable Illusens Staff. Both weapons can multiheal!

     Sellescha: Meh, I’m not a Battledomer. I think that the sword is prettier!

     Lerli: I’d take either of them to make my enemies REGRET IT!!!

     Lervi: So would I!

     Christine: Well, neither of you are trusted with powerful weapons, as I said earlier.

     Lerli: The sword does more damage than the staff, but unfortunately, the sword inflicts some light damage. Anyone can buy a full light blocker for pocket change off the Shop Wizard.

     Christine: At any rate, the Illusens Staff is a much better deal in terms of Neopoints.

      ---Conclusion---

      Christine: So, which item was everyone’s favourite?

     Sellescha: Illusens Coin! It’s gorgeous and very special to me, since it was a gift.

     Lerli: Illusens Floral Cookies were pretty tasty!

     Lervi: Can I choose the old prize, Illusens Staff? I don’t like the fact that the stage prop has no magical powers whatsoever, nor do I like the price tag on that sword.
