"Drackonack in the Details" by drziggs
Another sunny day in Meridell, and villagers were screaming in panic through the crop fields as dirt, carrots, and marrows went flying every direction. Farmers scattered everywhere as the earth cracked beneath them, showering all in a torment of freshly overturned and manured soil, along with any remaining vegetables that grew and took hold in the short period without disruption. Carts were overturned, carrots scattered, and seedlings uprooted as a force under the ground made a zigzag through the fields. No one could say for sure exactly what the cause was, but it was something huge. Half-bitten produce littered the fields afterwards, and Meridellian farmers stood dumbfounded at the large, clawed prints scattered in the dirt. An Ixi farmer threw her hat down in disgust and stomped on it. "Another crop ruined! What are we supposed to do for this year's harvest?" A Techo peasant warily observed the saliva coating a half-eaten carrot.
