Christine: Welcome! This Grey Day, a lot of Neopians are feeling quite gloomy, including various shopkeepers. I wonder what that’s all about? Angie: I don’t know... Maybe their sales are down. Ella: Nah, it’s gotta be more than that. Some nasty curse, maybe? Angie: Our sister Maldice would know more about that... We should ask her later. Walda: If there are any vile monsters about, I’ll smash them with my bare hands! Christine: Anyway, it’s time to feel less gloomy with some Grey Day-themed gift ideas, sure to please any Neopian. Angie: Great idea! Walda: Any grey chocolates? Ella: NO... Those get you all wound up! Walda: ---frowns--- Chrstine: Anyway, without further ado, here are the gift ideas:
---A Grey Faerie Doll—
Christine: This poor faerie’s wings are all tattered, and her skin is a rather dull, greyish colour. Walda: BOO... Not exactly something I’d like to play with. Angie: This is more of a collector’s item than a child’s toy, anyway. It’s very rare. Ella: I know, right? It used to stock in the Smuggler’s Cove, but nowadays, it stocks very rarely in the Toy Shop, too, or it can be found in the Void Within prize shop. Christine: There is really a collector for everything, isn’t there? Angie: Hey, there are Neopians out there who collect faerie dolls... This would fit into such a collection very well. Ella: Some dolls are very expensive... Walda: While others have been added to the Quest Log. It all evens out!
---Grey Chomby Plushie---
Christine: Look, Walda! If you didn’t like the doll, then maybe you’ll like this squishy plushie. Such a huggable little Chomby! Walda: ---hugs plushie--- It may be sad and gloomy, but it’s super squishy! ---grins--- Angie: Luckily, this one isn’t terribly hard to come by. It stocks at the Plushie Palace, or, you can buy one on the Shop Wizard. Ella: Thankfully, it doesn’t cost too much, because Walda will destroy it soon. Walda: I WILL NOT! ---huffs--- Ella: No, really. It will be in tatters by the end of the day. Angie: Maybe squished to death... It looks like she really likes hugging that plushie.
---Grey Faerie Snowglobe---
Christine: She may have lost all her powers, but she still makes a pretty toy! This was given out by the Advent Calendar in Year 5. Walda: Wow, it’s older than me! ---grabs snowglobe and shakes it--- Wow! It’s snowing! Angie: Don’t drop it. It will make a mess. Ella: Walda, you had better put that down---
---Walda accidentally drops the snowglobe, and it shatters into a million pieces.---
Ella: ---sigh--- GREAT. Another mess for me to clean up. ---grabs broom and dustpan--- Angie: At least that thing cost us next to nothing. Seriously, you could find that on the Money Tree next to all the rotten shoes and old boxes...
---Grey Faerie Usuki Doll---
Walda: Aww... This Usuki looks so sad... Angie: There really is an Usuki for everything, isn’t there? Certainly every faerie... Ella: Coming soon... a Grey Faerie QUIGUKI Doll. Walda: No, that would be UGLY! ---sticks tongue out--- Christine: This Usuki stocks at the Usukiland shop, of course, but it has a chance of appearing in an Usukicon Y25 Goodie Bag as well, if you have one left over from last year. Walda: I’d like to open one of those bags! Angie: They’re not worth the price tag. I’ll buy you a cheap booster pack later today. Walda: Yay!

Walda: Aww... This Paint Brush is all sad and droopy. Christine: Well, it is nevertheless magical. It will give any Neopet a makeover! Walda: Why would I want to be a Grey Pet?! BLEH!!! I prefer being a baby, thank you very much. Angie: Believe it or not, Neopia is full of grey enthusiasts. Ella: I hear that there are also Pet Styles which can give a Pet a Nostalgic Grey look. No Paint Brush required! Angie: True, but only if you have Neocash. Walda: Meh, I think that the grey styles are far too gloomy.
---Grey Plumpy---
Christine: Any Plumpy demands bacon, including this grey one! A Grey Plumpy can be created by painting a Plumpy with a Grey Petpet Paint Brush. Angie: I hope it doesn’t bite! Ella: It doesn’t bite at all, silly. Angie: Well, that’s a relief. The Grey Plumpy would go well with a Grey-painted Neopet! Ella: Or a Neopet wearing a Grey Pet Style. Walda: Is that burnt bacon in the bowl? BLEH! Angie: Ick... Not something I would want to eat, that’s for sure. Walda: This Plumpy needs some new bacon to make him happy!
---The Plumpy’s ears perk up. Ella retrieves already-cooked bacon from the fridge, microwaves it, and gives it to the Plumpy, who wolfs it down quickly.---
Ella: Wow... I guess the Plumpy liked that very much, and I don’t even consider myself a good cook! Angie: Well, he’s used to eating bland Petpet food, you know... Ella: Very true.

Christine: I thought it would be a good idea to include at least one Neocash item. This one is anything but gloomy, leaving any Neopet all sparkly! Walda: YAY!!! ---throws glitter all around the room excitedly--- Ella: ---sigh--- I guess that bringing this item home was a bad idea. ---grabs the vacuum--- Angie: Hey, this was very predictable. Remember when she threw the Negg dust all over the floor? (Issue 863---The Negg Dust Nuisance) Ella: ---scowls while vacuuming--- I could use a little help over here!
---Angie grabs the broom and dustpan, and starts sweeping up the dust.---
Walda: Hey, no matter how much you vacuum, the room will be sparkly for months to come. ---cackles---
