Quote of the Week
She was known to be dangerous; there were tales whispered throughout the Woods of the fools she’d cursed, usually for things like trying to steal a rare herb from her garden, trampling one of her mushroom patches, or knocking on her door to try and sell her an encyclopedia set.
The Ultimate Back to School Shopping Guide
It’s that time of year again! All the young Neopians and their parents are going back to school shopping before the new year. New school supplies invoke so many feelings of hope and possibility, excitement and wonder, and for some even anxiety and fear.
I’ve made a handy list featuring the latest fashion trends for all of your school supply needs so your little one will be ready to learn and you will not have to stress about anything – except maybe making sure they get their homework done.
Pencils
Every good student needs pencils. It does not matter if they are learning to write or are fully writing research papers, they need a good instrument. The aesthetic of the pencil is a good way for students to express themselves and their creativity. Typically classrooms have pencil sharpeners, but some students may want to get their own as well just because they are so cute.
Illusen Pencil Set
A set of four pencils with eraser heads – two with Illusen and two with faerie wings.
King Hagan Collectable Pencil
Make them feel inspired by the wisdom and knowledge of King Hagan via this pencil.
Clown Chia Pencil
A little spooky, a little silly; this pencil will show some personality.
Pens
Some students prefer pens over pencils to do their writing, especially as they get older. In fact, as they get older the teachers may even require it! Pens also have all sorts of unique personality to show off making them almost as important as what they put on the page. |
Neopian Moms I Would Bake a Pie With
To all the moms, grandmas, aunties, Pet moms, Neopet moms, mom-to-Be’s, and mother figures, we appreciate everything that you do. Across Neopia, there are many maternal figures. Some stern, some sweet, but all deserving of a delicious pie and a big thank you. Here’s a tribute to some of the most iconic moms (and mom-like legends) in Neopia, and why I would absolutely want to bake a pie with them! Nothing says love and gratitude like fresh-baked goodness, messy countertops, and burnt crusts! Rohane’s Mother (Neoquest II) You will recognize her from the beginning of Neoquest II in the village of Trestin. You start off playing as Rohane in the game, but your mother is always there in the town, ready to welcome you home and heal you completely to full health. You’ll find yourself re-visiting her a lot on your journey! Why I’d bake a pie with her: She’s the perfect example of “nowhere like home!” She helps heal Rohane back to full health, her pies must be full of love and nourishment. And not to mention, Rohane probably takes so much home cooking with him on his journey throughout Neoquest! Have to love some “gaming food.” Reina’s Mom and Grandma (Advent Calendar) Most of you probably know Reina the Aisha, as she helps organize one of the best events of the year: the Advent Calendar on Terror Mountain! However, did you know that it was Reina’s grandmother who ran the Advent Calendar during 2020 and 2021?

 | Let's Prepare for Autumn!
Summer is finally coming to an end, and while I love a good beach day, I'm ready for some cooler temperatures. You know what's right around the corner - falling leaves, cozy sweaters, and warm coffee dates. The days are growing shorter, the nights are getting longer. Once we've reached the autumnal equinox, we'll be in full blown Autumn-mode. It's every book girlie's favourite time of the year, and I'm here to make sure you're prepared for it.
So how do you prepare for Autumn? I'm glad you asked. I have a few categories of things that you'll need to maximize your Autumn vibes, from books to read to Usuki Sets for your doll. We'll be eating treats, drinking lattes, and cuddling in your favorite cozy sweater. Say goodbye to summer, and let's prepare for Autumn!
A Season of Hot Lattes
As we transition from summer to fall, it's time to switch your iced coffees to a warm mug of something sweet. Borovan Day isn't until December 20, so we'll leave a hot cup of hot chocolate and asparagus for when Winter really hits. Don't worry, winter is coming, my friends. So let’s get into our true pumpkin season! Our time for candy corn! Yes, we have all the lattes ready to go. The Candy Pumpkin Latte is the perfect go-to during Autumn, and even though we seem to break out the pumpkin syrup earlier and earlier every year, I, for one, am not upset.

"The White River Diaries" by precious_katuch14 Dear diary, I just arrived at White River, and it’s everything Mom and Aunt Lynny said it would be. Well, almost. The town itself is busy, but not as busy as the area nearer to Meridell Castle, or the part of Faerie City where I grew up. It’s just busy enough for one to see that even under Ramtor’s iron flipper, life still goes on in Meridell as long as they stay out of his way, and out of the places now overrun with his monsters. I saw the shops, the rows of cottages, and of course, the large building that was next to the city hall – the headquarters of the White River Order of Wizardry, or WROW for short, with its towers and observatory and of course, its wizards. That was where I would live; Mom and Aunt Lynny had sent them a letter so they’d give me a room in their quarters. They even arranged a caravan to bring me to White River even though I had said many times I was ready to make the trip alone. Even Dad and Minerva, my cousin, agreed with the caravan. “Mipsy, you’ve never been by yourself,” was what Minerva said. I’m only two years younger than her, why does that faerie Ixi treat me like I’m a kid? Okay, I guess some monsters we saw roaming the woods as we clattered through |
"Caught Between Kingdoms: Cecilia" by parody_ham Every couple of days, I hear the flutter of wing beats and the soft cooing of a Weewoo that landed on its favourite perch. With letters coming across my desk from Neopians across the tri-kingdom area, it became something of a routine sound. Usually they would write about trade or petty squabbles between rivals, missing goods, poor harvests, so-and-so from high society doing something unbecoming of their station—not that I cared much for that rubbish—or a family asking for mutual aid. Other times, thankfully fewer as the years have passed, it was about old wounds festering.
More often than not, the Darigani felt the brunt of it. A number of us, such as me, had chosen to live in Meridell since the second war ended, aware of the risks that such opportunities offered us. But unlike most of them, they didn’t have… other reasons for being here.
But when you’re a former general of Kass, there are things you’ll never be able to fix no matter how hard you try. There are those in Meridell who have—quite vocally, in fact—declared their dissatisfaction that I was appointed on the Tri-Kingdom Council. Saying that “all of my actions were done out of guilt.” |
"A Blood Moon Bash" by pikapi20 Sparkling overhead as though the Faeries themselves had scattered countless diamonds as far as the eye could see, a starry night sky stretched across the sandy shores of Krawk Island as a brisk cooling wind blew away the very few clouds that dared to interrupt the otherwise endless view. Though the breeze could bring a chill to the bone to the unwary, its work was much appreciated by the inhabitants of one particularly secluded bay. With a couple of wooden tables, some wooden benches (and crimson hammocks slung across neighbouring palm trees as a comfier alternative), a rather impressive Barbecue set-up and an equally so telescope pointed towards the heavens above, the Lunar Eclipse Party planned by both the heads of Teams Krawk Island and Kreludor was set to be an event that no-pet would forget in a hurry. Team Kreludor's resident astronomy... enthusiasts, Captain Derlyn Fonnet and her goalkeeper/second-in-command Jurin T. had known for some time that a Full Lunar Eclipse was set to fall over the coastline of Krawk Island but hadn't really thought much of it. As much as they would've loved to have seen it, Neopia was in far too...

The Dream Weaver and the Sandman “A leaf of a 12 leaf clover, a wisp of cloud, and lavender,” Brass murmured as his nimble paws worked pulling threads from the ingredients and weaving them together.
