Quote of the Week
"Cedar Locke stood with a face of stone at the window. Outside, the wind howled with menace and the rain soaked the ground so that the drains filled and overflowed and cast sheets of water down the street. The cobbles were hidden under the floods. The streets were empty save for the lone figure moving from door to door, keeping cover under the overhanging canopies."
Faerie Foods for Every Occasion
Every Neopian can remember with vivid clarity the first time they ever stepped foot into Faerie Foods. My own memories of the occasion include a lot of drooling and not a lot of blinking as I stared with astonishment at the glass display cases featuring winged vegetables, bubbles filled with sugary goodness, and sparkling treats in every color of the rainbow. I was just a young Xweetok without a Neopoint to my name, and I remember begging my older sister to let me try just one thing. She bought an Earth Faerie Cookie Sandwich and split it with me, and my young mind was absolutely blown. “Lunch AND dessert in one?!” I remember exclaiming. “What will Faeries think of next?”
Since that fateful day, I’ve been a faithful patron of Faerie Foods, and I’ve sampled just about every delicacy in the entire shop. I’ve become an expert in curating gourmet food experiences for any meal and any occasion. Now it’s time to share my wealth of knowledge with you!
Breakfast
The most important meal of the day must be marked by some of the tastiest goodies Faerie Foods has to offer! To start your day off on the right foot (or wing), you’ll need the proper nutrition. I recommend a scrumptious bowl of Enchanting Strawberry Cereal, which contains all of the vitamins and minerals for a growing Neopet. For extra protein, you can’t go wrong with the Faerie Fried Egg, which is dusted with faerie dust and is served on the most adorable pan you’ve ever seen in your life. A serving of the classic Fluffy Faerie Pancakes will delight any young Neopet at your table, while older pets might prefer a bowl of Sparkling Faerie Porridge to keep them warm and full throughout the day. The perfect beverage to wash down your morning meal is Jhuidah’s Tangy Fruit Juice, which is a tropical blend of fruits that changes varieties with the seasons.
Lunch
For a lighter meal, one of my favorite combinations is the veggie-laden Celestial Salad paired with a steaming hot bowl of Soup Faerie Soup, a duo sure to keep you energized for the rest of the day. If you’ve got a bigger appetite and are looking for a meal with more variety, the Fyora Day Bento Box will impress you with its carefully curated treats and beautiful design. A classic sandwich like the Nutty Cheese Surprise might be just what you need for a quick meal on the go. And don’t forget to freshen up before you go back to work or school with a couple of Fire Faerie Breath Mints!
Afternoon Snack
Sweet like a cookie but chock-full of vegetable-y goodness, the Veggie Flower Cracker is the perfect healthy snack for a young pet. A bag of Enchanted Popcorn might be challenging to eat before the pieces float away, but it’s so tasty that it’s well worth the effort. The Faerie Carrot 2.0 is indeed superior to its predecessor and will amaze you with its delicate crunch and sweet flavour. |
Insider’s Guide to the Tyrannian Concert Hall
Greetings, Neopians and concert goers! Whether you're a seasoned concert-goer, are looking to attend your first concert, or just looking to snag those avatars (yes, we see you, avatar collectors), the Tyrannian Concert Hall is the place to be. So grab your concert tickets, dust off your air guitar, and prepare to rock out with some of Neopia's finest musicians—and maybe snag a cool avatar or two along the way!
Step 1: Getting Tickets to the Show
First things first, how do you get into the concert? It's not just about showing up with your best "I *heart* (insert band name here)" T-shirt (though, frankly, that would be something a TRUE FAN would do). You'll need a ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased for 1,250 NP through the Ticket Booth. It's pretty simple, really—just follow the trail of sound waves, and you'll find the box office. (Pro tip: A different band performs everyday, so make sure to check the schedule ahead of time before purchasing your tickets.)
Oh, but did we mention it's a little bit of a challenge to get these tickets? That's right! Sometimes, they sell out faster than you can say "rock on." The secret? Patience and punctuality. Show up early so you don't miss out and the concert tickets will be available.
But here's a pro-tip: if you're reading this article while sipping a Slushie, congratulations, you're already on the right track! Keep your eyes peeled and your clicks steady for the next batch of tickets.
Step 2: Get Your Ears Ready for the Show
Now that you've got your ticket, it's time to prepare for the event! What's a concert without a little sneak peek of who's playing, you ask?
The Tyrannian Concert Hall hosts a wide variety of Neopian performers, from the 2 Gallon Hatz to the pop band M*YNCI. These artists have been carefully selected to fill your eardrums with the finest melodies Neopia has to offer. So, maybe leave the earplugs at home for this one—no need to drown out the rhythm of Neopia's finest musicians. But if you were in the market to tone down the volume a bit, you may want to consider investing in some Noise Cancelling Headphones (but why would anyone want to do that?).
Step 3: Unlocking Avatars Like a True Fan
And here's where the real fun begins: avatars! You didn't think we were just here to talk about music, did you?
Groovy Chomby
Can you dig it? Chomby and the Fungus Balls are bringing the funk to the Tyrannian stage, and this avatar is your backstage pass to groove-town. Catch their groovy performance on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, 23rd, or 29th of the month. Bonus points if you show up in bell bottoms and bring a disco-loving pet!
I Love My Rock
For those who like to "bang" to their own drum (pun absolutely intended), you can unlock this avatar by attending a concert where the Sticks N Stones take center stage. It's no easy feat, but the beats are worth it. |
 | Relaxing Things to Do This Month of Relaxing
The Month of Relaxing in Neopia is here! While many Neopians mark the passage of time by avatars obtained, battles won, or trophies earned, it’s just as meaningful to reflect on those achievements through a bit of well-deserved rest. With some regions of Neopia warming up and others cooling down, now is the perfect time to embrace Neopian life at a gentler pace. Whether you’re nestled among the soft sands of Mystery Island or watching snow dusting the trees in Terror Mountain, Neopia is brimming with calming, cosy, and creative ways to unwind.
Picnics in the Green Meadows
As the trees in Brightvale burst into full green glory, picnic season is in full swing. Pack your favourite coloured Picnic Blanket, a Nimmo Veggie Platter, a Brie Cheese Platter, grab some Fresh-Squeezed Florange Juice from Fruits of Brightvale, and invite a few Neofriends to lounge in the luscious fields. |

"A Guide to Getting Lost" by kendall_cristi If it were up to her, Altoc would trade her jewelled crown for a worn field journal and disappear into the Lost Desert dunes before breakfast. When she was young, she wanted to be just like Seshatia, the Library Faerie, when she grew up. Then she would've spent her days with her pink nose buried in a book instead of powdered and perfumed.
While the other Royal Cybunnies danced in the ballroom and gathered in the courtyard for tea, she was on the other side of the castle piling books about King Coltzan into her paws or climbing the castle walls to sketch the Crokabeks. But today, everything was changing. Today, Altoc was strolling through the stalls of Sakhmet instead of practicing her posture. She had a Tchea Fruit up to her nose, the sand beneath her sandals, and a dream to fulfill. She was going out into the dunes to study rare desert petpets, from Djutis to Gebs, for a new book If she was lucky enough, she might even catch a glimpse of a Scamander.
The hot, dry air swirled around Altoc, carrying the scents of different flowers and spices. She stopped at a peculiar stall that looked like it had different sand sculptures arranged in baskets. She leaned in to look closer and saw that they were shaped like fruits. |
"The Biggest Noil of All" by noileh The Biggest Noil could let out a mighty ROAR that only other Noils could hear, and the ground of Neopia Central let out an almost imperceptible shudder. Down in the valley, the Weewoos and Beekadoodles ruffled their feathers, miffed by the disturbance in their day. A lone Draphly fluttered anxiously past, finally settling on a nearby flower.
Their Neopets continued about the day without even an inkling, as the disturbance was too slight for anyone but Petpets and Petpetpets to register.
The Noils of Neopia, however, were alarmed. The Biggest Noil had not been heard from in many years. As legend says, on Neverending Noil Day, in Year 17, he fell into a deep slumber. At first, they thought perhaps he was taking the Month of Sleeping a bit too literal. But alas, his slumber persisted.
Over the years, many brave Noils ventured out of the valley of Neopia Central, hoping to return with good news. But all returned with empty paws, for the Biggest Noil would not wake.
And trust that they tried so many ways! While their Pets were off at work, or bustling about the city, they spent their time researching a cure. With Seshatia’s help, they scoured books from far away lands, but no text from Xandra’s Library... |
"An Altadorian Fyora Day" by black_skull725 King Altador stood inside the council chamber near the windows where the light from the sunset streamed into the room. Some of the other world leaders quietly shuffled out of the room to their living quarters. However, Seshatia and Jerdana remained, standing behind Altador and looking out the window with him.
“Is she going to be alright?” Jerdana asked, breaking the silence.
King Altador shrugged a bit and nodded.
“I think so, just give her some time and space.”
The three continued to look on at the chair placed on the balcony outside of their chamber. The Faerie Queen could be seen sitting there, shoulders slouched, and hands buried in her face.
“I thought you talked to her a couple of days ago and she seemed in good spirits,” Seshatia mentioned, wheeling herself closer to the window.
“Yeah well, she’s not really in the best of moods right now. I think she’s going to need some time alone at the end of each day. The stress of all of this must be taking its toll.”
“Well, it doesn’t help that there’s an argument every day between Lord Darigan and King Skarl,” Jerdana sighed.
“Those two certainly don’t help the situation. The scars from their conflict never healed, and neither has Darigan’s land,” replied Altador.
