An Apple Chia a Day by hfallyn
--------
An apple a day keeps the doctor away;
At least, that’s what they always say.
Eat a colourful diet, especially your greens.
On that, I must admit, I’m not quite keen.
Well, this hungry Lupe thinks it’s time to take heed.
Health is a serious matter indeed,
And just my luck, on a stroll down a Neopia Central street,
Did I catch sight of some delicious treats to eat.
Off in the distance, dancing and twirling around,
Was a gathering of Neopets, joy and laughter abound.
A delectable group of Chia: Apple, Banana, and more in the bunch
Were picnicking together, baskets brimming with yummies for lunch.
Yes, that will do, I think. That will do just fine.
I stroll up ahead, preparing to dine.
My tummy is rumbling, my excitement mounting,
As I take note of the delicacies, too many for counting.
I put on my most cheerful, disarming grin,
An invitation to lunch I hope to win.
As I assess the assortment frolicking by,
A plump Blueberry Chia catches my eye.
“Hello there!” I purr, pearly whites on display,
As I greet the giddy Chias busily at play.
The Blueberry stays quiet, but the Pear answers, at least.
“Hello there, Mr. Lupe! Come join our great feast!”
The polite Pear is joined by a Tomato of red,
“We have plenty to share. Have your pick of the spread.”
My eyes survey the field: Lime, Plum, Pepper to name a few.
Licking my lips, I answer the kind Chia, “Why yes, don’t mind if I do.”
