Let's Prepare for Autumn!

     So how do you prepare for Autumn? I'm glad you asked. I have a few categories of things that you'll need to maximize your Autumn vibes, from books to read to Usuki Sets for your doll. We'll be eating treats, drinking lattes, and cuddling in your favorite cozy sweater. Say goodbye to summer, and let's prepare for Autumn!

     A Season of Hot Lattes

     As we transition from summer to fall, it's time to switch your iced coffees to a warm mug of something sweet. Borovan Day isn't until December 20, so we'll leave a hot cup of hot chocolate and asparagus for when Winter really hits. Don't worry, winter is coming, my friends. So let’s get into our true pumpkin season! Our time for candy corn! Yes, we have all the lattes ready to go. The Candy Pumpkin Latte is the perfect go-to during Autumn, and even though we seem to break out the pumpkin syrup earlier and earlier every year, I, for one, am not upset.

     If you're not a pumpkin lover, you have so many other options. The Candy Corn Latte is extra sweet, giving "I love Halloween" even in August. The Candy Apple Latte would be great to take to an apple orchard as you pick some apples wearing your favorite cozy sweater and overalls. Ugh, so Autumn! If you like a fancy design on your latte, ask your barista for a Heart Latte, Star Latte, or Happy Face Latte. They're classics that will make sipping your something warm and sweet even better.

     Not one for coffee? Let's break out the tea lattes then! I can never say no to a Chia Chai Latte, and the Slorg Matcha Latte is perfect for our Autumn AND Slorg lovers. Surprisingly, there are a lot of you. If you're looking for something warm but non-caffeinated, a Turmeric Latte is the way to go. Also referred to as Golden Milk, there are many benefits to drinking this lovely, sweet beverage.

     Autumn = Book Lover's Paradise

     If you're a book lover, then you're ready for it to be Autumn all the time. What's better than snuggling up on your couch or in your book nook, holding a warm cup of the aforementioned latte, reading a good book? Not much! Let me recommend a few books for you to kick off this season.

     Autumn in the Glade - Found in the Faerieland Bookshop, this is the perfect book for Autumn and Faerie lovers. You'll find magic tales and cozy, fall vibes in this one.

     Autumnal Decorating - If the changing seasons means changing the decorations of your Neohome, then this book is the perfect transitional read. It will give you tips on colour palettes for your home, the best flowers for your vases, and the right fabrics to bring your Autumn-themed living room together. Pick this one up in the Magical Bookshop!

     Leaves of Autumn - Also found in the Magical Bookshop, this one is for our friends that are starting to really notice the nature around them. After reading this book, you'll be able to tell your friends which leaves come from which trees and why they turn the colours they do.

     An Usul Autumn - This is "the story of an Usul who got lost in the leaves." It's a tale of adventure, hope, and found family. When you're picking up the other two books in the Magical Bookshop, don't leave without this one. It's the perfect book to get you ready for tales of adventure during this season!

     Sweet Treats for Autumn

     No matter what time of year it is, we love a sweet treat. Whether you're eating a cake or... well, eating more cake, everyone deserves a little something special every once in a while. There is one cake and one cupcake in particular that I'm always a fan of during this time: the Autumn Usuki Cake and the Fall Sprinkle Cupcake. The Autumn Usuki Cake is perfect for sharing, with lots of icing for those who can't get enough. The leaves are made of white chocolate, giving that perfect little crunch. The Fall Sprinkle Cupcake is quintessentially fall in a cupcake, with sprinkles in the shape of leaves and the perfect hint of maple.

     Are you a giver of treats? Then we have two great options for you as well. The Autumn Wocky Gift Basket is full of everything needed for a nice fall day - sweet treats, coffee beans, and the cutest blue basket to hold it all. While you may hear "sweet treat" and not immediately think of fruit, many people do!      The Annual Usuki Doll Convention is right at the end of summer, and I hope you picked up your Autumn-themed Usuki Sets at the convention this year!
