Answers It is now time to tally up your correct guesses and find out how much of a Weewoo fanatic you really are! 1. An easy one to start off. The answer is of course C as that is how Weewoos got their name - by singing their haunting melodies at dusk. Weeee woooo... wee woo... weeee woooo... How eerie. 2. Hopefully you didn't overthink this one as the answer is A - Krawk Island. Avid readers of the Neopian Times may have noticed that in the background of most issues there are two types of Weewoo: White - The official mascot for the Neopian Times and Pirate - A subtle nod to their heritage. Those of you with keen eyes may have also noticed that I also tried to give my own subtle hint at the start of this very article. 3. Although A and C are both real avatars available to be collected, the only correct answer is C - Neopian Times Writer, as Neopian Times Star is an avatar awarded for being published in 10 Neopian Times issues and features an image of a quill, not a Weewoo. 4. The Neopian Times Writer avatar was first awarded to those published in the 200th issue of the Neopian Times making B the answer to this question. Since its inception it has been given out to Neopians published in 18 subsequent milestone issues with this issue becoming the 20th time it will have been awarded. 5. Hailing from Krawk Island, and available for purchase when in stock for just 165 dubloons from Krawk Island Nippers, these spirited birds are consequently classified into the Pirate category of petpets making D the correct answer. 6. The lucky recipients of a White Petpet Paint Brush were those published in issue 114 of the Neopian Times causing B to be the answer. 7. The correct answer is B by a lucky zap from the Petpet Lab Ray as neither a Golden Petpet Paint Brush or Holiday Dream Petpet Giveaway currently exist in Neopia. There is however a Golden Paint Brush and an annual event called the Holiday Dream Neopet Giveaway but neither of those can grant the ability to obtain a Gold Weewoo. 8. The right answer for this question is C - 26 with colours ranging from Disco to Maraquan to Darigan with the latest addition to that long list being Valentine which was released last year. 9. A bit of a tricky question as all except one these products do not currently exist, however if you've ever visited the Grooming Parlour then you may have seen some Weewoo Face Powder in stock making the answer D. 10. It all started when one Neopian received a Weewoo as a gift and wished to paint it white to resemble another bird they had previously seen and adored. This Neopian and a group of fellow authors then began adding references to White Weewoos into their entries hoping that one day their dreams would become a reality. Their hard work did indeed eventually pay off as the first colour that a Weewoo could be painted ended up being white making A the correct answer. 11. Prior to the original Weewoo being picked by the PPL 3 other colours of Weewoo were chosen, those being the Grey Weewoo in Week 85, the Maraquan Weewoo in Week 548, and the Snow Weewoo in Week 618. However it wasn't until Week 839 when the original Weewoo was chosen as the winning petpet thus B is the correct answer. Since those 4 winners - 3 more Weewoos have also been chosen by the PPL with those being Rainbow, Disco, and Plushie. If you are looking to care for a Weewoo with the hope of one day winning the PPL Contest, then you should give one of your Neopets one of the other 17 unmentioned paintable Weewoos as Chocolate and Gold Weewoos aren't eligible to be picked as winners for this contest due to them only being accessible from the Petpet Lab Ray. Good luck! 12. Those who have been curious about what the winners of different milestone issues of the Neopian Times have received as prizes may have discovered during their research that the answer to this question is C - 2 with said prizes being the Neopian Times White Weewoo Plushie and the Postal Weewoo Action Figure. Although the Neopian Times 200th Anniversary Card features an image of a White Weewoo, it doesn't have Weewoo in its name and so doesn't count as part of the answer to this question. 13. Just like question 9 this was another occasion where only one of the answers is a real item found in Neopia, that being C - I Know Why the Caged Weewoo Sings. The other answers are completely made up out of nowhere! If you've read this captivating story to one of your Neopets before then you may have come to learn that determination and a love of the written word can help overcome any obstacle. 14. A short story titled The Weewoo of White was published in Issue 113 alongside an adorable and at the time undiscovered White Weewoo making D the answer for this question. This story was likely part of the aforementioned campaign by writers to try get White Weewoos into Neopia, and the accompanying illustration was the first official showing of the White Weewoo before their release not long after. 15. Finally the last correct answer in this quiz is D - The Hidden Tower. Fyora's powerful magic has led to the Hidden Tower being invisible and thus easy for birds, such as the Weewoo, to fly into the side of accidentally. The other choices are all real TCG cards yet none of them feature any Weewoos.
0-3: Weewho? If you only managed to get this many correct answers then you are pretty clueless about Weewoos and their rich history. To you they probably just look like any other bird. 4-6: You've heard little bits here and there about Weewoos over the years but you still have some learning to do. It's time to break out the binoculars and go Weewoo watching to discover all of their secrets. 7-10: A Weewoo expert! You are someone that could be found on a list of people to call if anyone ever needed some guidance about raising their Weewoo or were curious about their history. 11-14: You are Weewoo OBSESSED. It might be time to join your local Weewoo fan club, that is if you're not already part of one or perhaps even the founder. 15: You might actually just be a Weewoo. In fact I'm pretty sure that you must be a Weewoo if you know so much about them!
Whether you were a Weewoo expert or just a novice at the start of this quiz, I hope you all had fun and learned something new about these very special birds.
