Not long ago in a land called Neopia, there was a young girl named Lindsay.
Lindsay's best friend and faithful companion was her Warf Fletcher. Our
story starts with Lindsay and Fletcher running frantically up the road
to her little house.
"Aunt Fletchy!" Lindsay yelled, "Aunt Fletchy!"
"What?" asked Aunt Fletchy. "Can't you see I'm busy?"
"I know" said Lindsay, "but I was taking the shortcut past that mean
old Skeith Mrs.Octopus's house and Fletcher started barking at her dumb
old Angelpuss! He would never hurt that stupid Angelpuss he was just having
fun! And now Mrs.Octopus says she's....
"Lindsay!" said Aunt Fletchy. "If you're not braking things one time your
getting in to trouble the next!"
"I know but..."
"No buts!"
"Just don't take the shortcut and you wont have to face Mrs.Octopus!"now
go inside dear, and wash up for dinner."
"No one ever listens to me!" said Lindsay.
"Fletcher, we are going to run away before Mrs.Octopus comes for you!
There must be some place we can go where we won't get into trouble."
Lindsay put all Fletcher's and her basic essentials in a basket, and
they were off running down the road as fast as they could. Lindsay had
no idea where they where headed she just wanted to get as far away from
Mrs.Octopus as she could.
Lindsay and Fletcher where not very far into their journey when the winds
started getting rough. "Oh no! It's a twister!" They ran inside an abandoned
shack and closed the door. "Oh Fletcher look what I got us into this
time!" Just then the door caved in. It hit Lindsay on the head and she
fell back on the floor. Everything was black for a second, but when she
could see again, the whole shack was moving. "Oh my!" Lindsay said. Fletcher
barked as the shack tossed him around the floor. After what seemed like
hours to the two companions, the shack landed with a thump. "Oh!" Lindsay
shouted. Fletcher ran out the door and Lindsay followed him. What they
saw amazed them. They where in a colorful place the sky was as blue as
can be, and the air was fresh and warm, there were faeries playing ball
and napping in the sunlight all over the happy place. "Fletcher, I have
a feeling we're not in Neopia anymore," Lindsay said in shock.
Lindsay looked at all the faeries around her. She had heard of the magical
faeries of Neopia, but she had never seen them before. All the faeries
stopped what they where doing and looked at Lindsay and her little Warf.
The faeries looked as shocked as Lindsay was. "Hello," said Lindsay awkwardly.
The faeries didn't answer; they where gazing at something behind her.
A purple glow filled the air and all the faeries bowed. Then Lindsay looked
behind her too.
She saw a beautiful faerie much taller and older looking then the rest.
"Welcome," she said, "to the land of the faeries." Lindsay just stared
not knowing what to say next. The purple faerie smiled.
"Are you a good faerie or a bad faerie?" she asked.
"Why I'm not a faerie at all!" Lindsay said.
"What about you?" the faerie asked the Warf. "Are you a good faerie or
a bad faerie?"
"That's Fletcher and he's my Warf," Lindsay said. "My name's Lindsay
and I have no idea where I am or how I got here but I want to go back!"
"Well, first let us thank you!" the faerie said. "I am the Faerie Queen
and you have just dropped a shack on the wicked Skeith of the east."
"Oh no! Lindsay said. "I didn't mean to! Honest!"
"We are glad you did it my dear! That Skeith was as wicked as they come.
How can we ever thank you?"
"Well, I never meant to kill the wicked Skeith," said Lindsay, "it was
all a mistake, but I would love it if you helped Fletcher and I get home."
Just then a cloud of smoke filled the air. A evil looking Skeith came
forward. "I thought you said the wicked Skeith was dead?" Lindsay said
to the Faerie Queen.
"This is her sister the wicked Skeith of the west," the Queen Faerie
explained.
"OK! the wicked Skeith screamed. "Which one of you annoying faeries killed
my sister?"
"I did!" Lindsay said shyly, "but I didn't mean to! It was an accident!"
"You?" the Skeith said in shock. "How could someone like you kill a
powerful Skeith like my sister?"
"It doesn't matter how!" the Faerie Queen said. "She did it and now she
gets to keep the ruby toaster!" Lindsay felt something appear in her hands.
She looked down and saw a sparkling red toaster.
