Day One: The Last Training

It was the last day. The sun was beginning to set, and somewhere on the training island, a beautiful young Shoyru knew her destiny would be decided after a restless night. She had become strong, level 23, with quite a few abilities and ultimate statistics. This was the last day to train and the Battledome would open tomorrow. The silver Shoyru was deep in thought and emotion. Her name was SunnieGirl, and she was quite a reckless and rebellious Shoyru...she had somehow lost her feeling of sorrow, and did not care for others being hurt. She just wanted to win in battles. But she was truly good at heart, although that was hidden. "SunnieGirl, don't tell me you're depressed again..." A voice came from behind.

SunnieGirl turned to face her owner, which she much more considered to be her friend. The fearful look in her eyes could say it all, she was terrified. Her silver wings shone in the sunset, and her sparkling gold-tinted eyes seemed to ask why it had to come to this.

"Lisa, I've been training for the Battledome for as long as I remember, yet now it all seems so clear that I'm so strong and yet...I'm scared!"......she couldn't continue.

"SunnieGirl, you're just worried! You'll see, we've all trained hard, and I know you're going to be courageous and tough, as always!!" she tried convinced her.

SunnieGirl smiled a little then, and walked with her owner to the race track, where her sister, MapleBunny, was practicing for speed. MapleBunny, a rather shy Cybunny, winked at the two of them while running another lap. When she stopped running she declared she had reached a new record in speed. Sunnie frowned, quite a bit jealous of her sister's swiftness.

"Where are AcornGal and Aqualidria?" asked SunnieGirl.

Rather quietly MapleBunny replied, "They both went to train for defence, but I think AcornGal ended up running away again, I mean you know how she opposes fighting and all."

"Dangit, when's that crazy Usul gonna learn that peace isn't the best way around things? Fighting is cool!!"

"You can't blame her SunnieGirl, she hates fighting, just like you hate reading!" MapleBunny reasoned. They went to get Aqualidria, who was an aquatic Wocky. She was a special breed, that was blessed as a young NeoPet. A water Faerie blessed her with the ability to change her back legs into a sparkling silver fin, so that she could swim easily under water. She was also blessed with the ability to breathe under water, and beautiful lavender stripes and a milky blue coat to help camouflage herself with the water, too. They picked her up from the swimming course, and went to find AcornGal. Acorn was the oddest sister in the family. Unlike her sisters, who wanted to fight everyone at the Battledome, she preferred to read up in the tropical island trees.

Acorn was a mystical Unicorn Usul with the power to fly. She was a very strange Usul, not caring anything about her stats, but only about knowledge and wisdom. But her owner still did quests and took her to the training school. The sky was no longer orange as it's sunset color would have been. Now the twilight blue signified even less time until the opening of the Battledome.

After everyone was taken from their courses, they headed to the Island Inn, and went to bed. But SunnieGirl's rest was sleepless. She stared at the roof for about three hours, then, after a lot of thought decided she could beat any pet at the Battledome. Her self-esteem was up and high. But perhaps, she had over convinced herself...

As the morning light approached, she was sure everything would go perfectly at the opening of the Battledome on Tiki Island...But was she right?
