Ruthven Manor

The crumbling manse crouches in its dank clearing like some primordial beast awaiting prey, numerous blank eyes glowering out across the swampy forest. The walls, overgrown with black rose vines brandishing wicked thorns, do not encourage visitors. The only way of entry is via the imposing gates, the name of the manse engraved in the lintel: Ruthven Manor.
Ruthven Manor is owned by a mysterious and reclusive Neopian known only as Dapplegrim. Rumours abound about his origins and his objectives. The disturbing reports about both mansion and inhabitant ensure that there are few visitors... Whispered stories about claps of thunder on the clearest of nights, spook lights among the trees, and hapless visitors transmogrifying after innocently drinking from the well.....
Pshaw, who believes such rot, eh? Not you, right? Yet... The stories persist, so best not to visit at all.
