waiting for the missing pieces of my heart...

i'm sonya, i'm ancient, and i live in a rain puddle. it's a small puddle, but the water is clean. it smells fresh, it tastes fresh, and it slides through my hair like silk. every hundred years or so, my puddle evaporates and i live in only a small drop of water in the sky. i'm not lonely though, because there are millions of other raindrops surrounding me. i can watch birds soar in between us, the sun reflect colors through us, and watch the stars and the earth at the same time. however, i am always anticipatory of the next time i'll fall. it's a long fall, but it seems to rush by in only a few seconds. every so often i'll be frozen and become my own, individualized self, different from all the rest. that is my favorite time. i yearn for an individuality that is all my own, and will forever be all mine.
