Hi, person. I'm Shade (or Ciel), an eighteen-year-old who adores writing. I'm good at writing, too, as the existence of people who love Guardians (my NT saga) shows. I usually prefer writing long stories to short ones, but for the NT I enjoy the challenge of writing multiple interconnected stories, whether they're short stories or series.

There aren't as many examples of my art and poetry around here (yet; I plan to redo this lookup with my art) and add (good) pictures of all my pets to their lookups eventually.), but I enjoy both. I've gotten two pieces into the Art Gallery and thirteen into the Poetry Gallery as of this writing. I prefer entering the Poetry Gallery, because it's simple and I can write poetry quickly and well. Art takes time, but I think it's worth it when I have the time and inspiration.

I also like nature, am fascinated by history, psychology, religion, and philosophy, love reading fantasy and sci-fi, and only really talk when I'm online or with friends.

I'm currently semi-retired from Neopets -- I still come online_ but it's rare for me to truly use the site anymore. Now that my Guardians saga has ended, with the full publication of Aria of the Aeons, the stories that I've most wanted to tell through the medium of Neopets have been finished. I still have half-finished stories I would love to publish, but it will be much more sporadic now.

If you ever want me to try and help you with writing, ask; I enjoy that. Writing is forever my love. That I spend my time writing for Neopets is mostly because I have stories that work here and I enjoy seeing how far I can push the NT's rules before a story becomes too much.

The first NT story I tried writing
It says something that I can look at that story and say 'yeah, my choice of what to write about really hasn't changed much'. I find that story rather amusing now, but it gives a good indication of the change in my skills. I also have an excerpt of a more recent work there, to help show the differences between then and now. Or you could just look at the stories I have in the NT, I guess.
