Who is the Soggy Roo?

I used to be a PhD student in Cell Biology and Molecular Physiology. I decided that 10-ish years (school +2 post doctoral fellowships, which is now normal in science) to teach college wasn't worth the effort. I didn't much appreciate the work environment and didn't see myself doing that for another 40 years.

I now work for a blood bank, shipping inventory across my home state and filling hospital orders. The need for blood is little known and incredibly important, and yet most people who can donate will not, even though more than 90% of all people will need blood before they are 70 (that could be you, too, or someone you know!).

Been playing Neopets since I was 13 (eleven years now?) Of course, I've had a new account or two since then. This one is the one to last. I don't play as much as I used to, though. My current adventures in Neopia include: Altador Cup, in which I play for Maraqua on the WARF board (I originally played for Roo Island, hence the nickname), all plots and events (Daily Dare, Gamesmaster Challenge), collecting Doglefox and Coffee items, and amassing riches, mostly via stocks and collecting. I am also a trophy hunter, meaning I love playing games to try to earn trophies.

All of my trophies were earned on a laptop. I've never had a desktop computer or mouse. EDIT: I got a wireless mouse for Christmas. It's ON.

I also need lots of CODESTONES. Kaleerane is starting to get expensive! ^_^
