Hello, I'm Alexandra. Someday, I hope to be Alexandra the Great or some such (after I'm dead, of course - I don't want that much attention while still alive), but at the moment, I'm not really anyone special. I'm very different from any other teenager that I've met so far - for one thing, I disapprove of most teenage activities to the point that my usually-sensible mother is telling me to act younger.
I'm not particularly talented, but I like to write and make up stories (proper, long ones, not stupid, short ones.) At the moment, I have four buzzing around in my head - unfortunately, I've been too lazy (so far) to write them down. Well, I haven't finished writing them down yet. It's easy to make up a new story, but actually writing it down and filling in the boring bits rather than simply skimming over them - that's the truly hard part.
I love music - not modern music with immoral lyrics, but soundtracks. The soundtracks in Pirates of the Caribbean are brilliant, but I like the Doctor Who soundtracks better. I particularly like Doomsday, This is Gallifrey:Our Childhood, Our Home and Madame de Pompadour. I know that they're strange names (due to their use in the films), but the music itself is excellent. I usually like music that portrays an emotion or a certain part of the film really well.
I also play the flute. I've gone through many instruments (piano until I was six, recorder for a year, clarinet for the year after that, and then piano and guitar for another year before stopping altogether for a couple of years) but the only one which I truly love playing is the flute, the most recent of the lot. In truth, I had always believed that 'clarinet' was actually the name for the flute, and you can imagine my surprise when I was given a big, black instrument instead!
