Little friend, I'll be right back for you. Don't worry.
I can't remember your face... but I'd like to think so.
Yuien is a creature of the Maraquan seas, blending seamlessly with the waves themselves. She can travel on land, but rarely does so - her love of the water is so compelling that she is unhappy away from it. She does not recall being born on land, only that she was once a small child alone on a beach, and Water Faeries carried her out to sea to raise her as their own, giving her this fluid form. She has the curiosity and wonderment of a small child still, wishing to learn about everything in the world.
Yuien found an abandoned plushie on one of her excursions on land. It stirred a vague memory in her -- she used to have some sort of plushie long ago, didn't she? Inspired by her curiosity, she used her faerie magic and her ingrained skills to repair and animate the stuffed toy, making him into a land-dwelling companion for her. His name, Nuhaha, was written on one of his paws by his previous owner. Now she has a friend to play with and explore alongside, although she still can't remember why plushies evoke such a strange nostalgia in her. After all, they can't get wet, so she can't take them into the ocean where she lives...
[Special thanks to Caleb for letting me adopt Yui! February 19th, 2012]
