Kasai Reikon
Overlord Rei of the Labyrinth Manor
Have you seen the world outside? Can you feel their hatred, their pain, their despair? Do you taste their fear? Would you take the blame? Could you lend a hand?
The world is filled with individuals that possess the power, the wealth, and the ability to right wrongs. But hardly any care to. The vanity of their self-indulgence traces back centuries ago to our ancestors, who decided that property should not be shared, that resources should be fought over, and that land symbolizes control. Survival of the fittest became an excuse to cast aside the less fortunate, the less important; it became the reason for the better few to parade themselves.
That is the lifestyle I prescribe to. Vanity is not a sin, but rather an intellectual property that drives desires and follows success. There is only power and wealth or the life of a stray, and I live for the former. Who says money cannot buy happiness? You need only to look through my calm, nonchalant exterior to discover the depth of my euphoria and pride. In this manor, in this society, in this time, I am the very representation of superiority, dominance, and eminent self-glorification.
