Not all Faeries fly high.

Gerdy was cursed by an evil sorcerer upon his birth - wherever he goes, for as long as he lives, it will rain.

Soaked and shivering, Gerdy spends most of his time indoors or dodging between the raindrops. He struggles to use his wings due to the weight of the rainwater, but occassionally he plucks up enough strength to soar high into the sky.
Bursting out above the clouds that haunt him eternally, Gerdy gets his breifest glimpses of the sun, and feels the warmth on his face.

He's a cheery guy despite his curse, and he refuses to get down as he feels then the sorcerer will have won. One day, he might happen upon a kindly weilder of magic who will undo his curse, but until that day, he'll just keep dodging raindrops.

Gerdy is the second pet I ever made, and was painted Faerie using the original sponsor Rainbow Fountain. When customisation came around, I chose to convert him so he could get a snazzy hat, because everyone loves snazzy hats.
