Hello. My name is Daniel Faraday. My family calls me Dan. I am a Baby Gelert, and I am named after a character of a TV show called Lost. My mother says that I am a very, very smart boy. I am studying quantum physics with my Uncle Blewby. I like chasing frisbees and sometimes playing with my brother, Sawyer. I also like playing with my Warf, Desmond. But mostly I like studying my books that were gifts from Uncle Blewby. He says he is very proud of me and that I'm a very good boy.

Here the pup smiles, a distant expression on his face. He glances wistfully at the book behind him.

I have to get back to my studying now. You can watch if you want. Or if you have a frisbee we can play. Desmond likes frisbees too.

He wags his tail hopefully. When you show that you don't have one, he just nods and walks back to his books. He calls over his shoulder distractedly:

It was nice to meet you. Next time you visit don't forget a frisbee. I like frisbees.

With that little Daniel Faraday returns to his studying and is lost to the world.
