Good day to you, young Neopian. I trust you're having a pleasant afternoon in this beautiful spring weather? If you like, we can sit by the fountain for a while and talk. I'll tell you about myself, shall I?
My name is Sobai, and I grew up here, in good old Neopia Central. I think the town itself is underrated. It might not be a fabulous tourist attraction, or the most beautiful place to live, but it's filled with some of the kindest neopets you'll ever meet.
I'm a writer, myself, for the Neopian Times. I especially like to write about my twelve siblings. Have you met any of them? I know that Roiniy and Clohofe are quite well-known in some parts for their fabulous store, and many a young child has been scared into good behaviour by tales of Iclana, the zombie. She's actually quite charming once you get to know her; I think she's a little upset by her reputation, actually. If you ever see her when you're down by the river, be sure to say hello, just like you would to any other Usul.
Then of course there's Sylfio and Kasnu. Charming young Neopets; Sylfio makes the most delectable drinks, and Kasnu's just plain cute. They joined the family only just before I did, so I get along best with them, and often pop in to see them whenever I'm in Brightvale. Kasnu loves to ride around on my back, which as a rule I don't let anyone do, but he's so tiny and so adorable ("Soby! Lift me!") that I can hardly refuse.
Aribual's a bit of a mystery to me, because he's so quiet. I have a tendency to talk nineteen-to-the-dozen, like your typical Gnorbu, and I think I overwhelm him a tad. Lapnia just laughs whenever I start chattering away, and says, "Sobai, do you ever stop talking?" To which the answer, I suppose, is no.
Anyway, that's the family. How'd I join up with them, you ask? Well, it was chance, really. I was trying to become a better writer, and funnily enough that's what I did, although not in the way I'd quite expected.
Now, tell me about yourself.
