Shadovnia, or Experiment #0693 is a robotic shark created by the Russian government. He was genetically engineered from a bull sharks DNA. Scientists used the brain and heart of a bull shark to transfer into a robotic shark body. Thankfully for Russia the experiment was a success, but for Shadovnia is was a portal to depression. He is monitored and tested on in a huge tank with artificial plants and a camera constantly watching him. The only thing he gets to see living is the Russians and the bubble of live plants in his tank that are kept separate from him. His only identity being a piece of dark metal glued to the outside of his tank reading "Experiment #0693" and the serial code on his underbelly.
Shadovnia is often put into the deep ocean to help Russian ships maneuver in stormy weather. They built in receptors into his gills and mouth that glow leaving a piercing bright light in the path he directs. They use him like a mobile lighthouse. With his intelligence he can understand the commands of the captains on the ships and with the robotics in his genes they give him coordinates to guide the ships to. Though the entire time in the ocean he feels at home for once. He feels the salty water through his metal gills and has the urge to hunt passing by fish.
One day... he always says to himself.. one day. One day I'll be out here free away from these cruel people. Away from the trap of guiding these ships day by day. Shadovnia contemplates on a daily basis his escape from the government.. curious to if they'd be able to track him with equipment or if they'd just let him go. To this day he isn't sure.. but he slowly plots his plan to leave every waking moment. Maybe one day this magnificent beast will finally be free to roam the open ocean.
