POI the Captive King

One day, a sorcerer in Shenkuu embued a single, rusty needle with a spell that could summon and to a doll bind a wandering soul with a special stitch. Poi was one of his very first entrapments.

Poi remembered nothing of who he was before, but he knew of the magician's cruelty, who abused the Lifestitch by creating dolls and destroying them for fun. Poi was spared from this fate as he decided to flee one stormy night.

He eventually returned and stole the sorcerer's Needle, almost getting caught and having one of his eyes ripped open in the process. He wandered Shenkuu and used the Lifestitch to create puppets. Where his creator was cruel, Poi was kind, and treated his puppets as friends, and they loved him as they would a kind King.

Poi ran a modest puppet show in Shenkuu with a lovely Aisha for a long time before he was stolen and stowed away aboard the ship Prima Vista. He is now held captive by a Pirate Lord who plans to use Poi's talents to fulfill his own dreams.

One day, Poi will escape.
