It's a day for picnics; for walks in the park. Everyone seems to be outside today. Enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, and being away from the lures of the great indoors. Clouds have abandoned the sky and the warmth of the sun's rays beat down unimpeded. Any unwanted heat gets quickly swept away by a gentle breeze. It gets blown away and lost amongst the lush leaves of the rosy pink trees. There is but one flaw in this picture-perfect scene however. Sitting not too far from you is a forlorn Grey Wocky. She is alone and looking at her surroundings with the utmost boredom.

You ask, "What's wrong?"

The Wocky's ears twitch and she slowly turns her head towards you. "Nothing."

When she sighs, you reply, "Doesn't look like nothing."

She turns her head away. "I'm not fond of being outdoors," she paused. "I'm also not really fond of strangers."

You raise an eyebrow. "Then go home if you're unhappy."

She sighs again. "I can't. My mom likes to let me run around this park for exercise, but I hate it here. It's far too sunny and all of these flowers are causing my allergies to act up. I can't even take any medication for them because antihistamines always make me feel even more tired than I already am."

You blink in response.

The Wocky suddenly looks embarrassed and turns around fully to face you. "Sorry, I'm a repressed chatterbox. I spend most of my days in my bedroom reading. Books don't make for good conversationalists though."

Another eyebrow raise. "Why don't you make some friends?"

The look of sadness quickly becomes that of anger. You scratch the back of your head and begin to apologize, but the Wocky chooses to ignore you and walks away.
