Lia was orphaned at a very young age and was forced to live and wander around the streets of Ithalyas on her own. During the first few months, she survived the harsh city life by stealing whatever she could, using her ability to see glimpses of the future to perfect her timing to do so.

However, her stealing frenzy was cut short when she was caught by Thomas Demitris, a baker from one of the shops she tried to rob from. Though instead of handing her over to the guards, Demitris took her in as his adopted daughter and tried to erase that stealing habit she picked up.

In her stay there, she learned that Demitris was actually the masked protector of Ithalyas, the one rumored to have been going around the city every night to thwart possible crimes. When Demitris passed on, Lia took up that role as protector of Ithalyas, with only one other person knowing her secret.
