Dzennio is the most laid-back of the family, and as such, also a total procrastinator. In his spare time Zen enjoys taking naps in various locations, usually trees. His ideal life is one without the need to worry about tomorrow, one where all his days can be occupied with whatever he feels like doing.

However, he gets enough nagging from his siblings to keep his studies up, and has developed a fondness for t'ai chi as a result. Years of practice have made even his unconscious movements graceful, but when others comment on it he simply shrugs it off and points out something interesting in the sky.

He's also in charge of looking after all the petpets at the Darigan residence, making sure they are well-fed and groomed. He doesn't particularly mind the duty, as he sometimes spends hours chattering away to his brothers' petpets.

Zen is able to alter the flow of time with the aid of spell circles, which he conjures from his hands. The circles have the power to lock off small areas, creating zones in which Zen can manipulate the time flow in. The circles must be summoned in pairs: one zone in which time moves quicker, one in which time is slowed, both relative to each other. When conjured, the circles cannot be moved, and disappear relatively quickly. Living beings within the circles are able to move, but doing so usually results in disorientation.
