I never looked like this before. I was normal... well, as normal as a blind creature could be. You see before you a freak of nature. A cat-like creature that you can see straight through. They thought they would cure me by letting me see again. Oh, how wrong they were. This is a curse, not a cure. I'd rather look normal and be blind than look like this and see.
The Curse of a Cure
A crisp breeze shook the trees on the deserted hill. Loo tilted his head, his sightless blue eyes gazing at nothing. He listened to the whispering in the trees and sighed; he knew he'd never be able see the trees. Never actually knowing what they look like, whether green or orange, black or white; the colours sounded beautiful, hearing them describe the night, the day, the nature but never knowing the difference. Never seeing it, never understanding what the point was. At least he looked normal, or so he was told; that was one thing that he could be grateful for. Not many of the blind here looked like normal human beings, apparently.
