All her life, Syn has been obsessed with magic. Her appetite for knowledge was unsatisfiable and she would not rest until she consumed everything there was to know. However, time was against her, and she dreaded the thought of dying without knowing everything. So, with the little knowledge she had at the time, she mixed herself a potion that brought about her immortality. Thus, she was free. There was no limits to her ambitions, so she become content.

Alas, it not did last.

Eventually, time became to take its toll. Not to her body or her youth, the things that didn't matter, but to the one thing that did: her mind.

The mind was never built to last a thousand years.

Now faced with the consequences of having centuries worth of memories and wisdom, Syn is faced with a single decision: lose her knowledge, or lose her sanity.

Syn chooses sanity. She would rather lose her mind than lose the precious knowledge she spent years accumulating.
