A Well Kept Secret: Switch-A-Roo

by Bullwinkape

While other games like Kiko Match and Meerca Chase are played quite frequently, one of the best money making games in Neopia is usually neglected. Switch-A-Roo is possibly the fastest way to get lots of Neopoints, and if played every day you could be rich in no time!

Switch-A-Roo will not generate a large profit for Newbies, but for people like myself, who have been playing NeoPets for a long time, it is a wonderful source of income. In Switch-A-Roo, you are shown a ball under one of three coconuts, which are switched and scrambled, and then you must choose which coconut the ball is under. Before you play you decide how much you wish to bet and what speed. Although it is classified as a luck game, Switch-A-Roo is far from a guessing game; it requires a bit of skill.

I suggest you bet the maximum you can every time you play. The amount you can bet is decided by a simple format: 20 plus the number of days you've been in NeoPets times 2. For instance I have played 410 days so the maximum I can bet is calculated as 20 + (411 * 2) = 842 NP. Obviously, this gives an advantage to older players such as myself. If you've been playing NeoPets for 490 days, you can bet 999 NP, which is the very maximum you are allowed to bet. Note that your original bet is always taken from you before you play, but guessing correctly will make you more money than your bet was worth. If you guess wrong, however, you lose the amount of NP you bet, but nothing more. I would suggest starting out with a slower speed, then moving up to fast and stupidly fast after you get used to the game. A skilled player can choose the correct coconut every time at the stupidly fast speed. The faster you play the game the more you win from your bet:

Slow: 140%
Medium: 200%
Fast: 250%
Stupidly Fast: 300%

Another advantage to Switch-A-Roo is that, unlike most games, it can be played for Neopoints 5 times a day. This means I can bet my maximum 842, win 1684 each time I play on stupidly fast speed, and ultimately make 8420 Neopoints a day!!! Newbies won't make much NP from this game, but its something to look forward to. On the other hand, someone who has played 410 days or more and can skillfully choose the correct coconut every time on the stupidly fast speed can make a whopping profit of 9990 NP a day! That adds up fast!

I don't have many suggestions for this game. However, always keep in mind the following when playing Switch-A-Roo. You should always know where the coconut is before you play, hit show again if you are unsure. Keep the cursor of the coconut with the balls as the Blumaroo scrambles the coconuts. Remember each of the Blumaroo's three moves. They are:

-Directly switching two of the coconuts
-Moving one coconut out in front or behind of the others then putting it back in a different location
-Taking the middle coconut and slide it towards the far right one. It will bounce back just to the right and behind the far left coconut I don't know what to say besides, if you're not playing Switch-A-Roo, you're missing out on loads of NP!
