Which Way is Best For Training Your Pet?

by Locke1911

With the release of the Battledome, training your pets has become increasingly important and increasingly more expensive. I remember when you could by codestones for less than 700 NP, and when Faerie Quests weren't random. Training back was quick and inexpensive. I have compiled below a list of all the ways you can train you pet(s) and how good I think they are:

Faerie Quests: To be assigned a Faerie quest you must wait (a looooooongggg time usually) for a Faerie quest random event, therefore getting a Faerie quest is pure luck. Each of the 6 Uber-faeries will ask you for a item, once you bring it back, your pet will be rewarded as follows:

Light Faerie - Asks for = collectable cards (very common to ultra rare) Reward = random pet gains a level

Dark Faerie - Asks for = toys (weird huh?) Reward = random pet gains 1-3 hp

Fire Faerie - Asks for = clothing (don't do it if she wants you to get "Wellington boots") Reward = random pet gains 1 strength point

Water Faerie - Asks for = books Reward = random pet gains 1 defence point

Air Faerie - Asks for = beauty products Reward = random pet gains 1 speed point

Earth Faerie - Asks for = magic items Reward = one pet is totally filled with food (bad....)

Faerie quests are probably the least expensive way to train your pets, but they happen only ever so often....

Training School: The training school which is located on the Mystery Island is a good way of training your pet when it is young and not very strong. Codestones are required to partake in the training and codestones are NOT CHEAP at around 5000 NP each. The amount of Codestones needed is as follows:

Basic (anything except hp is under level 20) = 1 codestone + 1 hour needed to complete

Advanced (anything except hp is under level 40) = 2 codestones + 2 hours needed to complete

Master (anything except hp is under level 80) = 3 codestones + 3 hours needed to complete

Grandmaster = 4 codestones + 4 hours needed to complete (ouch! worth it though)

To enroll in a course first click on courses link and then select the course and the pet you want to train. Then click the start course button. You will be taken to the status screen where you get to see what codestone(s) you need to buy. Once you get them, click on the link to start.

Training school is expensive, but very reliable.

Kitchen Quests: In the underwater city you can go to the kitchen to get Kitchen quests. The chef will ask you to get 2-4 food items (any food in the game, so the quest could be cheap or expensive) in a limited amount of time. After you get them you will be rewarded, you might get one of the following:

NPs
Any stat on any of your pets goes up
Uncommon-Rare-Very Rare-Ultra Rare item (mostly uncommon/rare)

The only problem is that you don't know what you are going to get so you are pretty much taking a gamble....

Some quests may be expensive, and you may get worthless things, so try your luck and see what happens....

Random Events: Sometimes one of your pet's stats just goes up while you're surfing the site (cool!)

If only this could happen everyday (I've been playing for about a year and this has happened twice).

Underwater Map/Space Map: Both of these let all of your pets gain a level, along with getting items and NP A costly way of getting your pets up a level. About 27000 per set of maps.

Very expensive way of leveling up your pet (only level, not defence or anything else....) only do it if you REALLY need to.

Time Machine Quests: On the Tyrannian Plateau a Wocky Professor is trying to repair a time machine and he needs your help to do it! The professor asks for various kinds of Tyrannian food (2-4 different ones, including omelettes that are bitten). If you get the items for him he will give you:

An item (usually it's bad item, such as a pair of magic socks) + Sometimes you get something more:

A promotion in the army
or a pet's stat goes up!

These quests are a bigger gamble than the Kitchen Quests, plus they are more expensive to do, better stick with the Kitchen Quests ^_^

Special Neggs: From the Neggery, located in the Ice Caves, comes special Neggs that can up a pet's stat. Trade in regular Neggs for tokens to buy super Neggs

Here are the ones that up stats (I didn't include the special ability ones):

Kaleideonegg: This Negg will either (or both) change the color of the pet you feed it to or up it a level 35 tokens

Silver Knight Negg: This Negg will up the defence of the pet you feed it to by 1 pt! 48 tokens

Power Negg: This Negg will up the attack rating of the pet you feed it to by 1 pt! 53 tokens

Snegg: This really NICE Negg will up the hp of the pet you feed it to by 2-3 points also it will up the speed of the pet you feed it to by 2-3 points!!! 84 tokens

Good if you have the money, but overall a very expensive program.
